👧Tajea POV 👧
Regina called up Tyrone the next morning, asking him to come over to her place. Well, after I had managed to convince her to do so, which took a little less than an hour.
And though she was anxious to know the truth, she was more scared to know that the guy she is dating is a lying, cheating, conniving son of a b*tch.
An hour later, Tyrone showed up bearing gifts. Breakfast, Regina's favorite almond chocolates, and pink roses. This guy is unbelievable. He kissed her cheeks, handing her the goodies, and she took them. But from her face, you knew she wasn't pleased.
He waved at me, but I ignored him. I don't talk to lying, cheating scumbags, and it's not like we are close either. He sat on a sofa by himself. Regina and I sat next to each other. He then began complimenting her and stuff. But she remained silent. Then he started to get all tense and asked her what was wrong. Now he noticed. Men!
Regina, of course, just laid it all out there. She told him about the unexpected visit she had from that strange woman last night. And she didn't forget to pass on the woman's message about the kids or the divorce.
He sighed, then said, "First, let me apologize for—"
"For being married with kids and not telling me!" Regina exploded. She jumped at him, slapping him like a wild animal. That's my girl! Whoop his ass.
Tyrone didn't fight back, though. He just struggles until he gets hold of her and pulls her into him, trying to keep her calm. "Babe, just let me explain."
"What is there to explain?" Regina fought until she was free from his arms. "That you lie to me! You played me!"
"I would never, babe. I love you too much." He sounded a bit torn up, hurt even that she would think or say that. But that is just a trick to get her to feel sorry for him. Don't fall for it, girl.
"Well, you have a very messed-up way of showing it." She slapped him twice. Ouch! That's got to hurt. You could stay way out in space and hear them.
"Babe, please. Let me just explain, please." Tyrone seemed very upset, but he caged his anger.
"No! Just get out of my sight. I never want to see you again!" She screamed at him, tears pouring down her face. My poor girl makes my heart weep.
"Babe, please," he pleaded.
"Just get out of here before I make you," Regina warned.
He was attempting to get close to her, and I got in the way with my butcher's knife. "You heard her. Leave now and never come back."
"But," he stuttered.
"Do you want to leave here in a body bag, sir?" I threatened. "Get out now!"
"Damn it!" He screamed, frustrated. Furiously. He then walked to the door, and before he left, he gave us an earful. More like a pouring his heart out speech. "That wretched woman who came here last night—her name is Mara Bennett. We were in a serious relationship for seven years, and I did love her. I even proposed to her. But she took my love for granted and broke my heart. I left her two and a half years ago, though it was hard at the time because I found out she was cheating on me with the neighbor. And who knows who else... And our kids... my kids... my world... They aren't mine," Tyrone said with great difficulty and anger. His eyes were a bit moist, almost making me cry. He took a deep breath to calm himself before continuing. "The reason she told you all that nonsense was to tear us apart. Hurt us. Because she knows how serious I am about you. How much I care about you. I really do care about you, Gina. A lot."
Snuffle. Snuffle. Yes, he's now crying. He was unable to contain his emotions any longer. Damn, I never knew men were capable of doing this. Either he's a good actor or he's telling the truth. I'm not too sure. But I feel him. I really do.
"Mara tried to get back together with me multiple times, but I don't want that. But she just can't, or rather, won't, accept that I'm not taking her back. So she goes around spreading lies. And. And. And caused mischief with anyone who tried to get close to me. That is why I had to get away from her. That is why I came to Orion City for a fresh start. I didn't tell you all of this because I was never going to let her ruin my happiness. I thought it didn't matter. But clearly, I was wrong. I should have told you about her to protect you from her. Just know that I've never met a woman like you, Gina. So loving, so kind, and so strong. I admire that. That is why I wouldn't dare lie or cheat on an amazing woman like you. (Snuffle.) You know what? I'll go now. I don't want my presence to disturb your day any further." However, leaving seemed very difficult for him at the time. "But, baby girl, I just want you to know how much I love you. I enjoyed every moment with you. Our time together, however short that may be, (snuffle.) Thank you for giving me a chance to get to know a wonderful woman like you. Thank you for restoring my trust in women again. And I'm sorry that I hurt you. I'll go now."
Man. Some days ago, I would probably have said, Yeah, right. And all he has said just now is BS. Just a show. A trick. But now, what if he's actually telling the truth? Damn, I believed his every word.
Though it's hard to admit, there are awful women out there too. That little b*tch came here to purposely hurt my sister, my friend. She wanted to ruin this possibly wonderful man's life. Not cool at all.
Regina cried her eyes out nonstop. She looked confused and didn't know what to believe. And I just stand aside like a poor thing, crying for her sake. I was hurting too. Not having any comforting words to even say to her. And I always have something to say.
