🧑Nik Anthony POV🧑

"Stop interrupting!" Tajea bit my head off.

Sigh. Here we go again.

"Ugh! Do you see what I have to deal with?" She screamed aloud. Everyone just looked at her as if she were crazy. Me included. And yes. She is insane. "I must be losing my damn mind getting married to this pain in my neck.

Tajea sighed, then smiled contendedly. "But it can't be helped, I guess. This hunk got this girl hooked on whatever spell he had cast on her. And believe me, I tried to fight it, but ladies, do you see him?

"Look at him." She pointed at me. "He's the finest man alive. Those other guys had nothing on him. And I'm not exaggerating when I say this. His body is like that of a warrior. Muscles are everywhere you can think of. And down there."

"Ahem." I coughed. Meanwhile, close family and friends, although they tried to hide it, were dying of laughter, especially McCarthy, who was close by. I, on the other hand, for some reason, was flattered but feeling a little embarrassed.

"I guess it's not appropriate to talk about that here." Tajea laughed tensely as she briefly glanced at my lower area. "I guess the point I'm trying to make here is that Nik Anthony Phoenix is the best thing that ever happened in my life. He's the strongest man I know. I mean, he fell in love with me and is crazy enough to even get married to me. And believe me, I'm a handful."

"Yes, you are!" Shouted Regina. Tajea's three brothers and McCarthy nod their heads to agree to Tajea's latter statement.

"Oh, shut up! Who asked you, people? And I don't hear Nik complaining. Do you have a problem with me, Nik?" She glared at me and asked. I didn't even do anything. Sigh.

"No, none whatsoever." Please don't kill me.

"Thank you, sweetheart," Tajea said with a smile. "This is one of the many reasons why I love you. You always have my back, no matter what. And I just can't imagine a life without you. So even though I get under your skin a few times (a few times?), it's because I love you with all my heart." She started crying and made my eyes moist with tears. "And I promise you, baby. I'll try my best to be the wife that a capable man like you deserves. I'll love you with all my heart. I will always be your rock. Your shelter. Your haven. I thank Jesus for you, my husband."

"Alright, enough of this. I don't want to ruin my makeup. Those girls work so hard to make me so beautiful." Tajea dried her tears.

People were clapping and cheering as if she just said some whacky, heartfelt graduation speech.

"You are beautiful, babe. And I love you too." I can't help but say this as I get even closer to her. I want to kiss her. In fact, I did kiss her. Deep and long.

"Ahem," the pastor cleared his throat, disrupting our intense moment. "We haven't reached that part yet."

"It's your time to say your vow," Tajea said before the helpless pastor could do what he's paid for.

"OK. Here goes." Like Tajea, I also didn't write some fancy vows. So I just have to make it up as I go along. Say it from the heart. "So the first time I met this crazy woman, she was loud and violent. Not to mention rude and disrespectful."

Everyone breaks out in laughter. Even Tajea was in good spirits. Surprising. I thought she would kill me for that line, for sure.

"To put it mildly, she was a challenge. Like very difficult to deal with." I continue. "There is no winning, this woman. She had to have the last say in everything, or it would never end. She is easily angered, thin-skinned, and not afraid to express herself. She tells you how it is. She's a no-nonsense, hate-bs type of person. She loves hard and is very protective of her loved ones. Maybe that's one of the many reasons why I fall for her.

"You know, I used to be afraid to get close to women. Afraid to fall in love again. And after all the crap I've been through with women, who could blame me? But then my mother brought this crazy yet wonderful woman, Tajea Donovan, into my life. And she turned my life upside down. Literally. OK, I'm kidding. Or am I?

"Anyway, as I get to know her more, the more I can't stop myself from being attracted to her. And before I knew it, all those walls I struggled to build. She tore them all down. She took all the fear and pain away, replacing them with unconditional love. Her love made me a brand-new man. Oh, and how could I forget to tell you all what a wonderful mother she is to our sons? She takes care of us to the best of her abilities. The point I'm making here is that I'm so madly in love with this woman. Even if most of the time she drives me insane,

"Crazy woman. Tajea Donovan. I, Nik Anthony Phoenix, promised I will love you until my last breath. In this life and the next. And I'm so anxious and yet excited to go on this next crazy adventure. This next chapter of our lives."

Tajea jumped at me the second my vow ended (if that tacky speech can even be considered a vow), suffocating the sh*t out of me with a kiss. And instinctively, I find myself holding her and touching her like crazy. Moaning and groaning. I feel the urge to rip her out of this annoying gown.

OK. If this continues, I might put it down on her right in front of all these people. After all, it's been a little over three months since I've gotten some, if you know what I mean.

"Easy, you two. Turn down the heat. Leave that for the honeymoon," McCarthy said, amused as he pulled me from Tajea.

I bet everyone here must think we are oddballs after all that they have witnessed. But who cares what they think anyway?

"Can I kiss my bride now?" I asked the pastor as I looked ravenously at my woman. My wife. She was looking at me just the same. How could I not be turned on?

"Can I even stop you two?" The pastor was exasperated. "Go ahead," he ordered with a smile.

Again, Tajea and I entered a lip lock. And it's as if time had demolished. Everyone vanished, leaving only us. And with that, we are now man and woman. Husband and wife. Partners for life.

The end.

Well, not quite. There is so much drama and excitement for me to tell you all about after the wedding. Like our insane and yet memorable honeymoon. The three additional members of our family: Aya, TaJani, and TajNik Phoenix. And you all already know about Tajea's craziness. That is something I will have to deal with for a lifetime. But that would probably take an eternity if I should get into details. Therefore, let's just leave that for another story.
