👧Tajea POV 👧

Wow! Now, don't I just look stunning in this black bandage gold button cut-out sides bodycon dress Regina forced me to wear? And this dark brown, long lace wig properly styled on my head. These cute gold bow-knot high heels on my feet. My face well make-up, just brings out my outer fake beauty.

Please, if you ever meet the person who said this kind of beauty is pain, give them a medal for me. Thank you.

My face felt as stiff as a board with all this damn makeup on. These damn shoes are literally killing my feet. It's so hot under this hairy contraption on my head. It's very uncomfortable, too. But it is not as uncomfortable as not wearing any underwear.

Regina said wearing one would just ruin the dress design or whatever. That is one of the many reasons why I didn't want to wear this dress in the first place. But you know her. She doesn't take no for an answer.

Ugh, I regret inviting her here tonight to this 'get-together' as Niklaus called it at the Orion Hotel. Well, this was more like an uptight version of a roof party. And yeah, Regina, Tyrone, and I just arrived there.

My girl Regina came all out in her black premium bandage cut-out sides detail bodycon dress and heels. Beautifully make-up. The girl was on fire. And Tyrone was looking very handsome, cloaked in black, next to her.

The people in the crowd were well put together as well. Some are talking, drinking, and eating. Others are laughing and dancing. All enjoying the sweet, soft band music.

But who cares about that. Where is that prick with my sweet boy? Who, by the way, is too young for this type of event. Nik better not have brought him here. And that, Niklaus. He won't hear the end of this when I see him. Humph, he led me to believe this was an event a kid could attend.

Searching... Searching... Searching... Oh, there he is (Nik), seated at a table for a group by the metal balustrade, sipping on a glass of wine and eating some fancy dish. Thank goodness he's alone. But where the hell is little Nik? You know what? Let's find out from him.

My little gang and I marched over to the table. And the stunned Nik observed every inch of me. From head to toe and back. It was like he was seeing me for the first time.

Now he's making me nervous and self-conscious. "What's the matter, Nik? You look like you have seen a ghost."

"Wow! You look amazing," Nik complimented, flattering the shit out of me. Even though it's the truth, he didn't need to say it to make my head bigger than it already is right now.

"Yes, she does," Regina added mischievously.

Nik and Tyrone exchanged pleasantries.

"Anyway, Tyrone and I will go get us some drinks and enjoy the party. We'll leave you two to your alone time now." She showed off an annoying smile that I want to smack so badly off her face right now.

"See you later, girl." And before I could voice my complaint, Regina disappeared into the crowd with Tyrone.

That witch. Did she and Nik plan this to get me alone with him? It's a possibility, but whatever. I sit on the chair across from Nik, then I inquire about little Nik's whereabouts.

And Nik assured me he was safe with Kenneth and some other bodyguards in a suite upstairs.

Nik is way overprotective of the boy. The poor child. He can't go anywhere without men in suits following him around all day. But I won't judge, because I'm no better when it comes to my child. I'm like a lioness.

After that little exchange we had, there was what felt like an everlasting silence between us. And Nik is just staring and drooling at me nonstop, like some brain-dead zombie.

You know, now that I get a real good look at him, he's really fine in that suit. And out of them too.

Oh sh*t, I need a drink. So I poured myself one from one of the wine bottles on the table and gulped it down quickly. You know what? Let's make it two.

"Tajea, my dear, you made it." Niklaus popped up at our table, greeting me with a friendly smile and a handshake. Oh, thank goodness. He saved me from all this awkwardness with Nik.

Note: I didn't miss the unsatisfied expression on Nik's face upon his father's arrival.

Niklaus continued. "You look lovely, by the way, my dear. I hardly even recognized it was you." I'll take that as a compliment. I guess.

The lovely and beautifully put-together Ms. Radnor, who came shortly after him, also greeted me and complimented my false beauty. I thanked her anyway, with a smile. Then she acknowledged Nik, who barely responded to her.

And guess what? Toni and Nikolas dragged their dirty asses to the table as well. My guess is to upset Nik and me. And believe me, they succeeded. Humph, this is going to be a very interesting night after all. I better have another drink.

"I see the street trash cleaned up really nicely. But with all that work, she is still trash. Haha, haha." Toni couldn't just keep her filthy opinion to herself. Is this b*tch begging for another smackdown? I'm happy to oblige.

Luckily for her, Nik signaled for me to behave. And for some reason, I obeyed. Strange.

"Tonight is a celebration for family and friends. Not for arguments and fights." Niklaus spoke openly, but his stern gaze settled on Toni, who left furious with Nikolas. Good riddance.

Then he addressed Nik cautiously, "Glad you could make it, son."

"I've been here for a while now watching this show you put on, and now you choose to approach me?" Nik snorted. "Why did you invite me here, father? To annoy me. Well, consider me annoyed."

"To celebrate, of course," Niklaus said festively.

"Then tell me, how can I have a good time when this place is packed with people I despise?" Nik responded a bit rudely. And that wretched look he gave his father. Wow, it was scary.

But his behavior is understandable. The guy had daddy, mommy, brother, and ex-girlfriend issues. And that's a lot for one person to handle.
