𝗝 𝗔 𝗞 𝗘

I couldn't stay there. I left after I made sure she was asleep. If I had stayed and she found out about my dreams, the cat in that bag is a venomous tiger that would kill her. My Love is too nosey and asks too many questions. Telling her about my nightmares and night terrors will lead to much more than I want it to and I can't have that. I don't want her worrying about me so to protect her, I left and came back before she was awake.

I walked straight to my room and laid there just watching her sleep. Her little nose scrunches and mumbles shoot right into my heart. Swollen cheeks from sleeping on her hand and that glow she has when she wakes up. I pushed all of her braids to the back and saw the marks on her neck, one was purple and another was just dark red. She's all bruised up around her neck, wrists and thighs. I'd feel horrible if she didn't look so damn sexy like that.

"Mmm" Her face snuggled between my chest and my pillow.

"Love ?"

"Hm ?" She hummed.

"Are you awake ?"

"Mm mm" She shook her head lightly.

"Then how can you hear me ? Just open your eyes for a second I'll let you go back to bed after " She exhaled heavily and stretched her legs across mine, fluttering her eyes open. Sun from my window peaked throughout and shined right onto her face making her scrunch up. I chuckled at her and kissed her nose.

"Why is it so bright in here ?" She mumbled, closing her eyes again.

"Because your eyes have been shut for nine hours. Open your eyes, I wanna see them"

"Jake I'm tired" She whine.

"The quicker you open them, the quicker you can close them back" She groaned tiredly and peeked her eyes open. Beautiful. "See ? Not so bad"

Her eyes couldn't stay open to save her life. They closed each time she left them open too long and soon enough she was dozing off again.

"Can I close them now ?"

"Yes Love, you can close your eyes back" I kissed her lips and watched her eyes close.

"I'm so tired"

"There's no rush for you to get up. Rest all you want. Do you wanna eat something ?"

"I'm not sure if I can stay up long enough"

"Come onnn, let's eat and then we can sleep"

"You JUST said I could sleep, I wanna sleep Jake Vandle go away" She pulled the covers over her head and snuggled more.

"Love"

"What"

"Please. I want you to come while I cook"

"Mm mm can't hear you. Sleeping" She scrunched up into a ball and clenched the covers between her fingers. She's falling asleep. I sighed heavily and ripped the covers from her body. "Jake !" I ignored her threats, throwing her blanket over her and throwing her over my shoulder. She held onto me for dear life all the way to the kitchen where I sat her on the counter.
