Making my way downstairs, my nostrils catch a strong scent of something spicy and seasoned. The steam from my shower really opened my sinuses so the aroma smells clear and it's fresh. Is that cilantro too ? My feet step off the bottom of the stairs and I turn the corner to see blankets and pillows on the couch with a movie paused on the 75 inch screen bolted in the wall. I clasped my necklace between my fingers, poking my lip out to resist a high pitched 'Aww' from leaving my lips.

Raising my head I lose all train of thought, knees nearly buckling down under me and giving out. Jake was still in the kitchen with his back turned. I don't know what it is with a man's back, specifically his especially being tattooed, that makes my reproductive system go into an overdrive . The way his muscles stretch under his skin when he moves and his veins in his arms pop out, his tattoos that decorate him so well, that ass in those sweatpants. He turned around with a plate of fancily made tacos with a small bowl of lime slices in the middle.

"Nice setup" He looks up at me walking over to him and a smile forms on his face.

"I'm still figuring out how I bagged a handsome, rockstar chef. I'm gonna have to start thanking your parents more often"

Red flushed in his face and he looked away. "Come on"

"You're cute when you blush, you know ?" I tease him, wrapping my arms around his waist.

"Love you're so embarrassing. Are you ready to eat ?"

"Yup" I grab the plate of tacos and leave him in the kitchen to go and sit comfortably on the couch. "What are we watching Chef Vandle ?"

He shook his head at me and poured drinks for us. I have wine and he's just drinking water. "68 Kill"

"Is this that movie I saw on TikTok ?"

"Yep. I remember you sent it to me and I figured this would be a good time to watch it"

Once we settled down he started the movie and we ate as it played. The movie stars Matthew Gray Gubler as a guy named Chip who's head over heels for his psycho girlfriend. She tricked him into robbing her sugar daddy for $68,000 and it went downhill from there.

We finished the tacos by the middle of the movie and just started cuddling under the blanket. The tacos were so good I could kiss him. I'm not sure where his cooking skills came from but I couldn't be more happy about it.

"I mean the guy told him not to fall for it. He should've left a long time ago but after the guns and the robbing scheme it should've been wraps. Guys never fail to impress me with the crazy stuff they do"

"Ridiculous" I scoff. "Cooch doesn't make men crazy, y'all were born that way. I'm pretty sure it's territorial nature so she's all his but in HIS case maybe he just loved the thought of what they would be if she was sane"
