"He's been gone all morning and I don't understand how I'm supposed to go with him if he's not here and he's answering his phone ! " I groaned and threw my phone on the couch.

"Mani calm down baby, it's okay. Why are you so frustrated ? What's the matter ?"

"Her and Jake aren't doing their thing"

"Oh ! Aw baby" My momma rubbed my shoulder with her bottom lip poked out.

"Shut up Essence. That's not why I'm frustrated. He's been gone since before I woke up but he had the audacity to leave me a message saying to be dressed by 1 so we can go. It's fucking 2:30 !! I don't know what time the shoot starts, where it's at OR what it's for and I haven't actually spoken to the man all day"

"If none of the boys have talked to him did you ask Dej ?"

"Dej is dead asleep at Danny's place, he had to answer her phone for her. What if he did something stupid and hurt himself ?"

"Did you call Corey ?"

"Corey's not with him either. His location is at his "buddy's" place. I just don't want him to be late to this and have to rush over there" I pick up the mug with warm tea and raise it to my lips. Being with Jake these last few weeks has made me want warm tea every morning. When I'm not working he gets up before me and goes to make tea and I wake up to the smell of tea and my man.

Just as I swallowed the tea, the door opens and before I can see the person coming in I see flowers. Three bouquets of flowers at that and all different kinds. One bouquet was a set of clean white Gardenia's, another of sunflowers and lilies and the last of the bunch, purple orchids and white roses. Behind the flowers I saw the long tatted arms of my one and only.

"You're actually ready ?" His eyes look surprised when he sees me fully dressed.

"Where you been Jake Vandle ?" My eyes focus on him as he moves closer, putting the flowers in the counter in front of me.

"I had a few errands baby"

"So why'd you have me be ready by 1 ? Hm ?" I push my lips together and hold onto the handle of my mug, rocking my body slowly back and forth.

"Because you're never ready on time"

"Im ready now aren't I ?"

"Surprisingly" He teased.

"Do you want your ass whooped ? You could've at least answered my call and let me know you were okay or something. And why was your location off ?"

"Don't worry about it baby" By kissing my lips he evaded my question. I trust Jake so I know he's not with another woman and if he just so happened to ever be so stupid he'd get caught immediately but he knows better. What was he doing ?

"Mhm don't keep me waiting and not contact me ever again"

"I won't Love, promise" His arm wrapped around my waist, pulling me closer as he slides the bouquet of orchids and roses closer to me. "Per te amore"
