I popped the cap back onto all three pregnancy tests and threw them all at Jake. I rubbed my temples constantly and scratched my head until it bled. I didn't have much sex when I was away. Cal was the only one and we always used a condom so I didn't need to take many pregnancy tests and I avoided them like a bad ex. After my miscarriage, pregnancy tests make me sick to my stomach. I've taken a test twice since then only because Cal and I started seeing each other.

"How long has it been ?"

"Forty-seven seconds"

"Oh my goodness" I groaned.

"Alright what's wrong ? Your hands are shaking and you're impatient. Every since i asked about a pregnancy test your whole attitude changed"

"I don't wanna talk about it right now"

He sighs, "C'mere" and sits down on the bed with his arms open for me to walk into. "I respect you not wanting to talk but if it's anything surrounding you being pregnant I need to know immediately baby. Everything"

"Jake I'm scared"

"Of what ? Being pregnant ?"

"Yes"

"Why ?"

"It's not something that's a result of pregnancy but the very fear of the baby not making it. What if I can't carry the baby to full term ?"

I haven't forgotten about that day. I never will. A lot happened. There was the party, Mani hit Kyle and then finding out about the pregnancy. I knew it got under my girl's skin when she started blaming herself for it. I didn't know it haunted her still. I'm sure she hasn't forgot but the impact it has on her is concerning.

"Baby you'll kill yourself with all of this worrying. Nothings gonna happen to you or our baby do you understand ? You only need to focus on taking care of yourself so you can be happy and not so angry"

"You make me happy" She says with a smile growing on her face.

I kiss both sets of her knuckles and intertwine our fingers. "And I'm not going anywhere"

"What if I love the kids more than you ?"

"I'm not worried about that at all. I know you love me now and you'll never love me less. You're stuck with me so it doesn't matter who you love most, I'll be here longer than them"

Her laughter erupted and filled the room. "You a mess do you know that ?"

"I do, and you love it" I pulled her hands over my shoulders and around my neck. She leaned over me, standing between my legs and puckered her lips for a kiss.

"Mhm whatever Jake Vandle" She says after releasing me.

"Let's go on a date tomorrow. You and me" I can't help the goofy smile as I grope her curves, feeling my woman's body in my hands. It's so relaxing. My teeth bare when my lips part and curve.

"A date where Jake Vandle ?" She shifted her weight to one leg and placed her hands on her hips.

"You'll see when we get there baby. I'm not spoiling the surprise"
