Chapter 19

Vritika's POV

I felt his warm hand engulf mine as he dragged me away from the group of ladies while I just kept staring at him like I was in a daze. I noticed his clenched jaw move as he walked us and stopped only in a corner.

"Vikram, I need all the information about Mr. Chatterjee and his company, right now" he said shouting at a guy who came running towards us as soon as he saw Kiaan's expression. 

"Yes, sir" Vikram, the guy said and ran off to somewhere while Kiaan left my hand and turned to look at me as I stared at him without blinking, I guess.

"Are you alright?" he asked lifting his hand up and touching my cheeks for a second and then immediately retreating his hand back as if he filled a current. 

"Yes, I am fine" I said staring into his eyes and blinking as I noticed the color of his eyes properly for the first time. His eyes are a very pretty hazel with a hint of green. 

"Why were you standing still? You should have taught her a lesson" he said and I shook my head slowly and was about to explain when I heard a voice and turned to see Rayaan and Sritija walking towards us

"Bhai, calm down" Rayaan said leaving Sritija's hand and holding Kiaan's shoulder in a way to calm him down and Kiaan took a deep breath as he looked at Rayaan and nodded his head in an assuring way.

"Are you okay?" I heard another voice and turned around to see Vivaan and Dhriti walking towards us also looking worried and I shook my head. 

"We are" Kiaan replied and I nodded my head as Dhriti looked at me with a worried expression. She smiled as and held my hand

"How dare she talk with Vritika like that?" Vivaan roared this time and I held my head and turned to see him looking angry

"Okay, everyone calm down. I am completely fine. That lady said something and I retaliated and the so did she. It's nothing big and we are in a party, don't spoil the mood of everyone" I said in a loud and very clear voice. Kiaan had a simple smile on his face, weird. Dhriti and Sritija were nodding their head obediently.

"That's my bhabhi" Rayaan said and side hugged me as I smiled and pushed him a little away. We all stood in the corner chatting up for a while but my smile vanished I felt his warm hand engulf mine again and I turned my head a little to the side to look at him

"See, this why I was asking to go with you" he said in my ear and I took a sharp deep breath as he stood straight again. I looked back at the surroundings and saw Sritija standing blushing while Rayaan stood there with a smile.

"So, you are basically saying that if you were there I wouldn't have caused the problem" I said giving him a side glance and making an angry face and he shook his head rapidly while I controlled my smile. I don't know why but today I was feeling like teasing him?

"I meant the ladies wouldn't have then even thought about opening their mouth" he said and I smiled as I couldn't control it no more and he gave me a look understanding I was just playing with him

"We are teasing now?" he asked leaning towards my face and whispering in my ear in a very husky tone and I gulped as I turned to give him a look and he stood up straight with a signature smirk lying on his face.

Dhriti's POV

I peek at his face and smile as I see his still clenched jaw and he passes me a glare. I stand straight and he looks over me with a look. 

"Calm down" I said and he looked the other way and I again tilted my head and bend down a little to peek at his face. His eyes met mine and I blinked at him as he shook his head and I stood up straight with a smile on my face
