Rayaan's POV
I collect her mobile from my dashboard as I park the car and start walking towards her office. She is such a kid that she even forgot her mobile in the car when I dropped her to her office in the morning
I step inside her office and walk straight towards the reception. The receptionist looks up at me pass me a welcoming smile as I blink slowly also passing him a smile. It's rare to see guys behind the reception but they are actually much more pleasant
"I am here to meet Sritija Raghuvanshi" I said and I saw the receptionist look through something in his computer before he dialed a number. He probably called Sritija to inform her about my arrival but not before asking me for my name.
"Sir, she will be here in a minute. You can sit there" he said in a polite tone pointing to sofa in the lobby and I smiled before walking towards the couch and taking a seat there. A guy also wearing a suit was already sitting there
I looked around the lobby trying to take up the interior of the place. The interior was nice but not my office nice. Mobile of the guy sitting next to me rang and he stood up to walk outside as he received the call
"Hello sir, I hope you didn't have to wait for long" A lady dressed in proper formals came and stood in front of me. Her professional yet gentle voice rang in my ear as I blinked my eyes in confusion. Did the receptionist called the wrong number?
"I am sorry I think" I said but was cut off by the lady as she didn't seem to notice that I was trying to speak something and thought cutting me off would be polite
"Sir, let's get to the conference room. Our boss is already present there" she said and I simply closed my eyes letting her speak first so that maybe I can continue explaining the further situation to him
"I think you are mist" I tried explaining the situation again to her but it seemed like she was kind of deaf when it came to other's as they tried to communicate with her
"I am really sorry for making you wait. If you just may" she said pointing towards the way again and I controlled the urge to roll my eyes. Why is she not letting me speak? Is this a common practice in her office?
"Sarika, he is my husband, not the client" I heard the serene voice of my wife as I turned around to again admire her. I looked at her as she passed me a sweet smile walking towards me in her pretty formal suit. I really loved her formal suits and the tops she decided to pair them with. she just looked much more in place and confident here.
"Sorry?" the lady, whose name I suppose is Sarika turned towards me wide eyed as attitude dripped from her voice and I narrowed my eyes a little looking in between the two. Sritija passed Sarika a smile as she just stood there looking annoyed
"I am just saying that he is my husband and not the client you were probably waiting for" Shri said with a smile on her face as she blinked in her direction. I saw Sarika look over Shri once before she almost rolled her eyes
"Won't you know everything?" Sarika muttered under her breath and I fixed my eyes on the lady passing her an intense glare. If it was my office I would have definitely caused a scene for the way she is looking at Shri
"She would know because she is my wife and I think your client is just outside to attend a call. Maybe you should just wait here for him and try to listen to him once he came. It's not much if you will actually listen" I said getting hold of Shri's hand as she looked at me with innocence in her eyes
