Vivaan's POV
I open my eyes as I feel a shuffle around me. I look at my side and see a sleeping Dhriti stuck to my arm holding it in her grip. I released a deep breath as I realized the sweet voice I heard during the nightmare must be her.
I looked at her face and smiled slowly watching her cuddling more into me and I covered the duvet over her properly covering every inch of her except her face as she laid on my bicep. My hand involuntarily went to her cheek as I swiped the back of my palm on her cheek.
Her smell and gentle voice worked like a miracle as I didn't wake up all sweaty in the night and completed my sleep peacefully. It was almost fifteen years since I had a proper good night's sleep.
I looked at her sleeping self as I simply tried to get out of her arms. She groaned a little as I detached myself from her and I smiled pulling a pillow in my space but she scrunched her nose and I smiled realizing that she understands my warmth.
I walked towards the washroom with slow steps as the nightmare and her thoughts kept coming in my mind again and again. I really don't know how long will the image of that day keep haunting me.
Whenever I feel it's going to be good the image comes back and I become the sullen person I am. I have tried everything the therapist suggested but nothing is helping my brain to work functionally.
I don't know what took over me that I sneaked in the house when she was packing her bag yesterday and kept a pair of my pajamas in her bag. Maybe I understand her warmth too that's why last night I could actually sleep for a while properly
I stood below the shower as I opened the knob and felt the warm water touch all of my senses. I relaxed my senses as I moved my hand through my hair relaxing my muscles as the stress seemed to run away
"I just hope she doesn't ask me the question, I don't really know how to answer" I said as I stepped out of the shower and grab the towel to dry myself off. I released a deep sigh before stepping out of the washroom
My eyes met the sleepy ones of Dhriti as she looked at me slowly blinking her eyes. She sat on the bed looking a little disheveled as she moved her hand through her messy hair. She passed me a small smile before kicking the duvet away from her body.
"Good morning, Mr. ox" she said in a sleepy voice and I shook my head while she stepped out of the bed
"Good morning, Mrs. chuhiya" I said and saw her glaring at me because of the nickname, I gave her and I looked the other way with a smile. She walked towards me staring at me with her slightly narrowed eyes as she bumped her shoulder into mine lightly before walking into the washroom
I laugh a little as I look in the mirror while combing my hair. I release a breath as I see my smile, its such a genuine one that I couldn't even properly register that it was me for a second. I move my hand through my hair before stepping out of the room
"Good morning" I said as my eyes locked with uncle's as he also walked down the stairs
"I hope you will be staying here today too" he said and I looked hesitant. I wanted to stay beside her today too but I didn't hide anything else in her bag and I don't have any excuse for staying here tonight
"You should stay here only Jiju. Dhriti was missing you quite a lot yesterday" Dhiraj said coming out of god knows where and I licked my lips before nodding my head
"Okay" I said and saw uncle smile warmly at me for a second before he stepped in the living area and I just followed behind him waiting for Dhriti to appear fast
"Dhriti told me that you helped in the designs of the new products" Uncle said and I shook my head as I took a seat beside him on he dining table
"I just helped her to sketch. It was all her idea only" I said and Uncle smiled while Dhriti soon joined the table still in her pajamas and I looked her over while she passed me a smile
