" Let's go sit outside " Amara says, I stare at her
" It's raining, Mara." I say, using her nickname
" We can sit on my porch..." Amara responds
Amara opens her front door and steps out in to the rain. I follow her in to the cold weather. The rain touches my face, as I realize I didn't put my hood on. Amara grabs my hood and puts it on my head.
" Thank you... " Amara says.
" huh? " I ask.
" Thank you Lili. " Amara repeats.
We stand there in silence for a while, It felt like time just slowed down. I stare at Amara's face, just now noticing the tears falling down her face.
" M-MARA!? Why are you crying? " I ask, my voice stutters.
" Thank you Lili. " She says again, tears rolling down her rosy cheeks.
" No one has ever treated me so kindly, I am so happy to have you in my life... " Amara says through tears.
Before I moved to this town, Amara was bullied for learning slower than the others, but once I came people feared me. They couldn't make fun of Amara with me.
" I- " Amara gets cut off by screaming coming from inside the house.
Me and her rush inside, tears were still falling down Amara's face as we hurry upstairs to Yuri's room.
