Last Time: Elizabeth returned to the room of requirement after testing her spell and immediately headed to clean herself. As she was performing her usual ritual of scrubbing her skin raw until it bled to ease her guilt, one of the men she had killed appeared before her to berate and demean her. The man easily convinced Elizabeth of what she had already known, she was a monster who destroyed everything around her. After coming to the conclusion that in the end she would even destroy and darken Poppy; Elizabeth decided to end her life. Despite the phantom version of herself attempting to dissuade her, Elizabeth ended up cutting her wrist and waiting for oblivion to take her. Meanwhile Poppy was awakened by the thundering of Elizabeth's heart through her pendant. Just in case the girl headed for the room of requirement, only becoming more panicked when Elizabeth's heartbeat become slow and weak. Upon finding her girlfriend dying in the bathtub, Poppy immediately began treating her and stayed with Lizzy until she awakened. Once she did the two had a talk about what had happened that eventually ended with Elizabeth promising to no longer test the spell how she had done before and instead try Poppy's idea of St. Mungos.

When she briefly departed from Poppy on the evening of Wednesday the twenty-first; Elizabeth had gone to find Sebastian and speak with him in the Undercroft. The ravenclaw had explained that it would take a bit longer than she had expected to make sure the spell she had developed to cure Anne because she had to use another method to test it than she had originally planned. Her ex boyfriend hadn't taken the news well as he yelled and screamed at Liz for the delay.

He had insisted that if she had finished the spell then they should use it right away; especially once she had said she had tested it and it worked, yet she needed more testing to make sure it wouldn't hurt Anne. Sebastian had been convinced that it was ready and that Elizabeth was delaying it for no reason. In the end Liz promised to use the spell if Anne would consent to it in a month even if she couldn't get all of the testing she wanted done just to calm Sebastian down. Unfortunately the Slytherin had still left upset with her. Elizabeth could only hope that he wouldn't do something stupid as a result.

Despite Poppy and Elizabeth having only been sleeping together on Fridays and Saturdays since returning to classes; they slept in the Room of Requirement together for the rest of the week. Poppy had insisted it was just to ensure that Lizzy would be able to sleep well at night. Elizabeth, though suspected that her girlfriend was actually terrified that the auburn haired witch would hurt herself again if she were left alone for too long. And as much as the ravenclaw wanted to deny that might be the case; she agreed with the sentiment. After what had happened Wednesday morning Elizabeth was afraid of herself and what she was capable of doing.

Though the young witch's mental state remained fragile, little happened to send her into a spiral until late Friday evening when Natty had asked her to help her go after Harlow. The two students had fought their way through the wizard's compound until they had finally come to the right hand man of Rookwood. While Natty held off the remaining ashwinders; Elizabeth had dueled with Harlow. As the ravenclaw struggled to keep her darker urges and impulses under control, the dark wizard had been her toughest duel yet. In the end she had only won when Harlow had attempted to use the killing curse on her and she had countered with an expelliarmus. Her spell was quickly being overpowered until she had felt that well of ancient magic surge up within her more powerfully than ever before to enhance her spell.

After that things had progressed rapidly as Officer Singer and the aurors arrived to help the two students end the situation. Unfortunately Elizabeth hadn't noticed Harlow get back up and prepare to cast the cruciatus curse on her. When Natty transformed to block the incoming spell, it had nearly shattered Elizabeth's mind as she watched her friend struggle with the immense pain from the spell. Before anyone could stop her the auburn haired teen had screamed in fury and began to attack Harlow relentlessly. It was only by the time that the man was laying on the ground broken and bleeding, yet still barely clinging to life, that Officer Singer had been able to stop her and pull the young witch back.
