Last Time: Poppy had been taking care of a despondent Elizabeth for over a month after everything she had been through had shattered the young witch. Each passing day she watched the woman she loved unable to take care of herself, seemingly all but dead to the world weighed heavily on the hufflepuff. Yet out of love she did so; sensing that she was slowly breaking as well from doing so. To help ease Poppy's burden she left Elizabeth with Sebastian and Ominis. The three studied in the Undercroft for a while, Sebastian growing annoyed with how broken Liz was before they were joined by Anne, who immediately latched onto Elizabeth. Much to Sebastian's irritation the broken witch seemed to respond to his sister before going back into her blank state. The four of them soon headed to dinner to return Lizzy to Poppy. Meanwhile,; the whole time Elizabeth had been in her broken state she floated in pain within the ruins of her mental library deep within her shattered psyche and soul. The storm raging within her had badly damaged the library which held all of her memories. The phantom Elizabeth had been working tirelessly to restore it, yet could do little more than stem the tide alone. Especially since they were forced to leave occasionally to take control of Lizzy's body to soothe Poppy or ensure they did not fail classes. When it finally all became to much the other version of herself approached Elizabeth and showed her all the suffering they were causing the ones they loved by being absent. Eventually Lizzy agreed to work with the other her to restore their mind despite the pain she felt and haze that clouded her mind. After over a month of working alone and then together, they finally managed to cobble enough back together for Elizabeth to awaken from her stupor.

***Trigger warning*** A little violence and death

Elizabeth sat in the Undercroft with Anne, Ominis, and Sebastian the Sunday before their O.W.L.S. were scheduled to begin, her foot impatiently tapping the floor as she went over her divination notes again. Divination was by far her worst subject; it was something she just couldn't wrap her head fully around. "Ugggh." The ravenclaw finally groaned as she lurched forward to smack her forehead against the table in front of her while still holding the parchment. "This doesn't make any sense. Everything about divination is so up to interpretation and is rooted in innate talent." She huffed while blowing a strand of long auburn hair from her eyes as she sat back up. "It all just makes my head hurt."

Sebastian laughed without looking up from his own notes. "Well you can't be good at everything." He smirked from behind his parchment as she glared at him. "It is a bit surprising considering who your father is. One would think the daughter of a seer wouldn't have an issue with divination."

The mention of her birth father made Elizabeth suddenly go still as the color drained from her face; making the contrast with her darkened veins all the more prominent. After what had happened in the catacombs everyone present now knew she was a Grey; yet they usually didn't bring it up so casually. The unexpected reminder of her heritage and those who had hurt her when she was so young caused her hand to begin to shake before she forced it to steady.

Ominis glared sightlessly at Sebastian before sighing with a shake of his head. "Sebastian; perhaps now is not the right time for that level of joke?" The blind slytherin also had many issues with his family and their status; so it seemed he understood Elizabeth's reluctance and trauma to an extent. He turned to her with a soft smirk. "Don't let it bother you; you know Sebastian can be a bit careless with his words sometimes. That said, it is reassuring to see you aren't perfect in every subject." The boy chuckled in an attempt to lighten the mood which had grown tense.

Elizabeth sighed and shook her head while raising a hand to rub her suddenly aching temples. "It's fine. No harm done. Just... I am not really ready to talk about that." She admitted with a sigh before closing her violet eyes to continue. "Don't feel bad about it Sebastian. I know you didn't mean anything by it." The auburn haired witch reopened her eyes to flash him a reassuring grin; yet winced while doing so when another spike of pain surged through her head. Things had gotten better since the incident nearly three months ago; yet even after she and the other version of herself had worked hard to fix her broken mind, she still got headaches quite frequently when she thought too hard on the memories which brought her emotional pain.
