THIRD-PERSON POV:
Location: Oscorp Science Centre, Bioengineering Room"In nature, everything is connected. As scientists, we explore and expand on those connections to the benefit of society." Doctor Connors, who's been invited to give a sermon on bioelectricity and its uses at the OsCorp Science Centre, explains.
"OsCorp has been experimenting with genetically altered electric rays and eels. Think what it would mean if we could harness this bioelectricity... Generate an alternate form of energy; a new, clean source of power."
"It sounds great, but you might wanna clean the tank." A student says.
"It's clean. The fluid- I call it sludge- increases the eels' bioelectric signatures. Yes. In fact, those very signatures have become so intense, we've been forced to upgrade the lab's bioelectrical filters."
"We've been forced?" Max Dillon, an electrical engineer says.
"We're forcing Max, here, to upgrade." Connors corrects himself.
"All I'm saying..."
"Well, young ones, that is all for today's field trip." Connors says as he wraps things up.
He tells Max to finish up as soon as he can so he can lock the lab. Connors exits the room to see off the class of students from ESU, with Eddie in tow.
Unfortunately, Max Dillon's story only goes downhill from this point forward...
While working on the project involving the genetically altered eels, Max Dillon was involved in a freak accident that altered his life forever. During a catastrophic event in the Oscorp lab, Max was exposed to a combination of high-voltage electricity and experimental chemicals.
The accident caused a massive surge of electricity to course through Max's body, overwhelming his system. Doctor Connors and Eddie Brock quickly rush him to a hospital.
"There was an accident! We need to quarantine him... Get his vitals stabilized!" Eddie yells.
"He's getting worse by the minute." Connors explains.
"All right. Take him to the Isolation Ward, stat." Doctor Bromwell says.
Miraculously, instead of killing Max, the electrical surge transformed him into a being of living electricity or a living electric capacitor.
The next day...
"Doctor Bromwell, how's Max?" Eddie asks.
"Alive- and that's a miracle, believe me." Bromwell replies.
"His condition is stabilized, but-" Connors says but Bromwell interrupts him.
"Maybe he should just see for himself."
"Hey, Eddie." Max says.
A/N: Fun fact- Max and Eddie are close outside of their jobs.
"Max's body is currently generating a constant stream of bioelectricity. That insulation suit will contain it, protect him and everyone. But, Max, I promise you, it's only temporary." Bromwell says.
"We'll begin work on a cure immediately." Connors reassures Max.
"Least you can do." Max says with a sour tone.
"Try to rest."
...
"I can't even watch the game!" Max yells.
