THIRD-PERSON POV:
"Hello?"
"Hey, Arush. It's Kitty."
"Oh, hey. What's up?"
"Nothing, I was wondering if you were free tomorrow?"
"Uh, I have classes in the morning, but then I'm free. What's up?"
"Do you wanna go out with me?"
"Go out? Uh, like, on a date you mean?"
"Umm... don't you have a girlfriend?"
"No."
"You promise?"
"Uh, I mean, I did, but I don't anymore. It's a whole- But no- I don't have a girlfriend."
"Man, I'm sorry I worded it that way. I was just-"
"No, it's okay. I understand."
"Right. So... Same time tomorrow?"
"Yep. 3:30. Midtown High."
...
Arush splits up from the Spider-Boys, telling them he has a date with Kitty Pryde. He exits the school and spots Kitty waiting by the bus area.
She holds up her hand to greet him, and he mimics her actions.
"Hi." Kitty greets him excitedly.
"You showed."
"Of course."
"Wow."
As she looks around, she notices a group of boys and girls harassing another boy with glasses.
"This is high school, huh? I've been here for four seconds and I hate everyone."
"Well, then you've now learned everything you'll ever learn in high school."
"So..."
"Is there a plan for the evening?" Arush asks her.
"There is no plan. Do you have a plan?"
"I have no plan."
"What do these other 'people' do after school?"
"Well..."
...
"Corn dog on a stick!" Kitty exclaims, excited to see the mall.
"A modern achievement." Arush chuckles.
"When the mutants take over the world, the man who invented the corn dog will be spared."
Arush gives her a deadpan look mixed with a hint of worry in it.
"I'm kidding. Totally kidding." she giggles.
"Are you guys taking over the Earth?"
"No. Joking- I promise. We're the good mutants. We're the ones that want peace."
"Okay, well, then you might not want to make announcements like that."
"Ugh, my comedy sucks."
"So, another call out of the blue, huh?"
"Well, the professor didn't really let me stay out for more than 3 days, did he now? And then he grounded me."
"Hahahaha!"
"And besides, I still don't know what your life's like, but all this- saving the world and all of it... I have no friends."
