"Tyler!" I walk quickly behind him. "What?!" He shouts spinning his whole body around. "What did I even do for you to answer me like that?" I stand with my hands at my side.
"Wasted my time." He says softly clenching his fist at his side and hanging his head. "You told me that you'd make things work, that you wanted me but the second, the second I was walking out you weren't chasing me." He looks up at me. "I came back thinking that maybe she doesn't need distance from me." He begins walking closer.
"Maybe she just needs me closer and it will be easier to choose, but you chose, I came back to see you trying to call him."
"You don't know who I was dialing." He sighs. "Am I wrong?" He looks me in the eyes as if he's searching for answers before they are spoken. I shake my head looking away from him.
"I just wanted to know and understand what it all meant, do we get back together or do we stay apart?" I fold my arms. "What if he made that gift before losing his memory?" He rolls his eyes and placed his hands on his hips. I felt his frustration with me.
"What does it matter Gianna?" His voice was calmer as he tilted his head to the side.
"We had a life together Ty." I stand looking at him with my hands together below my belly. "So did we." His hands were now in his pockets. "But I get it now, I understand. Everyone has their person and we are not each others."
"Ty, don't-."
"Mine died, yours lost his memory. I'm letting you go Gianna, this time for real and forever." I felt a pang in my chest as my throat burnt. He was serious about a lot of things when it came to me, but his expressionless face just showed me how serious he really was about all this.
He seemed cold, he seemed distant and apart of me didn't want him to let me go, no matter how much I was hoping Elliott remembered me.
Was he really my happily ever after or was it Tyler?
"I don't want you to do that." I manage to say hoarsely then cleared my throat. "You don't have a choice really. I have to move anyways and this was all the reason I needed to not be here anymore." I begin walking toward him as he says his final word and he puts a finger up while holding out his hand. I halt.
"It's for business purposes so don't think it's about you, you've showed me once again how much love is pain. I think I'm better off alone.."
"You don't mean that."
"I do, a dead wife didn't teach me that but, the rekindling of an old flame that burnt out faster than the blink of an eye has." I put my hand over my mouth, he was being so mean.
"Goodbye Gianna." His final words before closing the door behind him. I watched under the door as he stood there for a few seconds. Was he testing me again to see if I'd come after him?
Was I supposed to walk out that door and end everything that Elliott and I were just to keep what Tyler and I have? I had so many questions and such short time to answer any of them. Tears were running down my face as I thought about the words he had said to me just now.
Though they were true, they were rather hurtful. Maybe it was an easier way for him to move on from me, for it to hurt way less for him? I sigh sobbing.
No.
My world began and will end with Elliott. My truest love, Tyler isn't my destiny and neither am I his. After coming to my final thought I notice his shadow below the door leaving. It's decided, we were done and I hope Elliott remembered me.
It's been two days since my birthday and Elliott has yet to reach out to me. My mom told me that Tyler left yesterday and I felt awful. He had just returned from his business trip only to return to it.
Yeah, it wasn't about me but, he sure as hell made it seem that way when he left. I knew Tyler, he spent his time distracting himself whenever he was hurt. I still can't forget that time I went to his place to find him with another woman.
I sigh holding my gift to my chest as I lay in my bed. If he remembered why hasn't he called? I go on the internet to find answers, I searched high, I searched low and there was nothing. What was I even hoping to find? His instagram cleared of that dreadful woman?
"Mommy mommy!" Aiden comes in yelling and I smile as he jumps in the bed. "Be careful baby, you don't want to hit mommy's tummy." He places his hand on my belly and begins rubbing. "I hope I get a brother to play race cars with." I chuckle.
Then I had a thought, what was the baby's gender going to be? I've been avoiding the paparazzi so much I haven't even gotten an ultrasound. I sigh, at least I know the baby is alive by it moving and the sound of a heartbeat from the Doppler.
"Oh, mommy, grandma sent me for you because daddy is here." I sat up quickly rubbing my hand down my hair trying to smooth it out so I looked less mad.
"Hey." I hear him say as I see him and my mom in the doorway. I smile at both of them. "Hey." I responded as my mother handed him his other crotch. "Come with grandma Aidii." She calls for him and he kisses my belly. "Bye baby brother and mommy." He says as he gets off the bed and runs to my mom. "Bye daddy." She takes his hand then winks at me as Elliott rubs his head.
"Later kiddo."
"My I come in?" I nod and he comes in pushing the door up behind him. "It's a boy?" He question as he comes closer to the bed. "I don't know, Aiden wants a brother." He chuckles, then there is an awkward silence, there is so much to say but, I just can't say it.
"We're still married." He finally says breaking the silence and I furrow my brows looking at him at the foot of my bed. "I did- couldn't sign the papers." I put both hands on my stomach.
"What are you saying?"
