Gulps of water went quickly down my throat as I try to sober up, things were serious and I needed to be of sound mind.
"We have to call the police." Elliott says as we sit around the island in the kitchen, I set the glass down and try to catch my breath. "No, they said no cops, they just want money."
"Isabel, I'm done with that life. I don't take things up on myself anymore, it never ends well." El explains as he paces around the kitchen.
"Then don't, leave it to me. Help me get some money to pay them, I haven't been doing much since I found out I was pregnant so there is no way I can find 20 million dollars." I inhale sharlpy as I think of the amount, poor Wyatt didn't even mess with these guys money.
Such a shame that even after Leon's death people still have to suffer at his hands. "There is no way I can get you that."
"Why not, aren't you filthy rich?" He pinches the bridge of his nose. "The bank won't give me that much money at once."
"What about Gianna?" She turns to look at me, her eyes red like blood, tears running from them. "Both of you can get the money for me from separate accounts."
"Yes, that would work but, after Elliott and I got married we murged our accounts, our limit is not even 10 million." She sighs placing her head in her hands, sobs coming from her.
"What about what Wyatt left you?" The room is washed with silence and I stand, for some odd reason, it felt like Isabel did this to get Wyatt's money from me, the money I haven't touched since.
"Aren't you listening, we merged everything." I lied, the irritation in my voice slowly coming to the surface. For all I know, she damn well went ahead and did this, Elliott's eyes watch me.
"Please, there has to be some way... I'm sorry that I hid him from his family, but there was a reason, specifically this." She stands up and walks over to me, her hands resting on my shoulders.
"Please Gianna, from one mother to another, if this was your son, what would you do?" The pain in her voice, the sadness in her eyes melted my icy emotions.
"There is a way to help you." I take her hands off me, as sorry as I was for her, I was never going to forget the things she said to me or how she treated me.
"I'll call the bank tomorrow morning, you can stay here." I begin walking away, I was still wet and in need of a shower.
"El, you can show her to a room." Despite my change of heart, something about this just didn't feel right.
"Hey." Elliott says to me as he enters, I sat before my vanity rubbing moisturizer on my skin. "Hi."
"Why did you lie about Wyatt's account?" I look at him through the mirror and he stands with both hands in his pockets. "Because I don't trust Isabel."
"Then why are you helping her?" He shrugs his shoulders and I stand. "Because something may be wrong with her son and I don't want to make because of my distrust, I don't help her and end up with more blood on my hands." I walk pass him and over to the bed, kicking off my bed slippers I take a seat.
"Understandable, I really like your approach to this."
"Mhm, were you the one that got us dragged into this?" He frowns then folds his arms. "What are you asking?"
"You know exactly what I'm talking about Elliott, did you or did you not tell someone about this child?" He laughed bitterly, shaking his head then walking away from me.
"Answer me." I demand as I follow him into the closet. "I mind my business Gianna, Isabel's business is of none to me."
"Yes or no?"
