Victoria, the kids and myself sat in the living room as Elliott talked to the cops, Isabel was here for sure.
She might have figured out that we hacked her phone and she left it as a gift so we could track it here, or she got spooked when she heard the sirens coming and left it behind.
Wyatt's home is not safe, we've lived here long enough to know the ins and outs but, apparently Isabel knew way more than we anticipated.
There are many different secret entrances I presume because there is no way in hell the security guards let her in.
"I'm going to the kitchen to prepare some snacks for the boys, do you want anything?" Victoria questions as she comes to her feet and I look up at her as I start to feel the hunger settle in.
El and I were supposed to get something to eat after buying our home but, that all changed with one terrifying phone call.
"Sure, I'll have a sandwich." I say to her and Aiden comes to sit on my lap. "Hi mommy." He says wrapping his arms around me.
"Hi baby, are you okay?" He nods his head then rest it on my chest, I rub my hand over his fawn colored hair as I try hard not to think about losing him.
"Hey." Elliott says and I open my eyes seeing a tray in his hand. "Hi." I sat up and he sets the tray down in front of me. "Aiden, go to grandma in the kitchen." He hops off my lap and runs to the kitchen where I hoped Gerard was too.
"If you eat all of this now are you still eating dinner?" I chuckle as I look at an entire meal. "I asked your mom for a sandwich."
"Well you know mothers and I guess she just knew we didn't eat." He takes up another plate. "We shouldn't eat in here, I've tried so hard to keep this place clean and the last thing I need is tomato sauce on this sofa." He puts his plate back on the table and took the entire tray up placing it in my lap.
"Since you don't know how to not make a mess you can eat out of that, try to let everything fall in the tray." I smack his arm and laugh. "Stop being petty." He kisses my cheek. "Stop being childish."
I took a fork full in my mouth and chewed then swallowed, I always loved when Victoria or my mom was around, they always made delicious meals.
"What did Ana say about Isabel?"
"She didn't say much because she didn't get much, all they found was the phone and nothing, the surveillance systems were being replaced today so maybe she came with the group of guys trying to put cameras everywhere." He takes a sip of his drink and I want to sigh but my mouth is full.
"They can't say for sure, good thing is that they got here and possibly scared her away. She's definitely dangerous if she had Wyatt locked up like that, who knew what she could have done to my mother if she got in." He looks over at me and his face drops.
"I can't lose someone else because of all these crazy people in our life." I place my hand on his back and I rub it up and down as a comforting gesture.
"You won't lose her or me, or Aiden, you won't lose anyone El. We will always be here for you." He smiles and we continue to eat our meals and engage in conversation.
The following morning was gloomy, I hardly slept and there was a lot of rain on the outside that match how I felt inside.
I sighed as I sat up on the bed, leaving in this weather would be absolutely pointless, there is a high chance that I would most definitely get sick if I set foot out there because no umbrella could save me.
Great another skipped day, besides playing with the kids what else could I do? I went to the bathroom to freshen up, just now noticing a tiny gift wrapped box on the tank of the toilet.
If there wasn't so many stuff on it I'd notice it early, nonetheless I smiled and wondered what Elliott had forgotten to give to me.
I took it up and took a seat, I pulled the ribbons apart then opened the box, the first thing I saw was a photo of an ultrasound.
Confused, I took it up to get a closer look wondering if I was the one that kept my ultrasound in this box and forgotten all about it.
You can imagine my surprise when I see a photo of Isabel holding a younger Gerard in her arms, his first photo after he was fresh out of the womb.
I stood instantly pulling my clothes up and running out of the bathroom. "Elliott, Isabel, she's here!" I dashed out of the room not even sure if Elliott heard me but, I needed to make sure that everyone was safe.
The boys room was the first room I went to after shouting Victoria's name as I went along, screaming for someone to call the security at the front to come up and the police.
"Aiden! Aiden baby!" I yelled as I went into the room, he sat up and began rubbing his eyes. "Yes mommy?" His voice was sleepy and I grabbed him in my arms.
"Oh thank God you're okay baby." I said as I held him tightly.
"Gerard, wake up sweetie." I said in a more calmer voice and then the door slammed.
"Sweetie?" Her voice was a sharp stab, turning my head slightly I see her with him in her arm and a gun in her hand.
Aiden's head was buried in my chest, there was no way I was going to let him see this crazy woman point a gun at me. "Isabel, please don't do this, you have your child in your arm, do you really want him to see you kill someone?" She chuckles then stops.
"I want him to see me kill you!" She yells pointing the gun at me, tears stinging my eyes as I look at Gerard's tear stained cheeks and think about the fact that this was possibly how I would die.
"Gianna, Gianna open the door!" Elliott banged and fiddled with the lock as my heart raced at the speed of lightening.
Bang!
The familiar sound I know all too well from that day I was moving out of my apartment, I even felt the familiar sting and began wailing.
"Gianna!" Elliott cried out and my eyes opened. "It's okay, I'm here, it was just a dreams." Words I've heard way too much, words that no matter how much I try to move pass them they will always come back.
Words I will never forget because moving forward was bound to go backwards at some point, at every point. It was and will always be my fate.
