NONKULULEKO
#13

Mr Maseko sent me home, but he told me that he wanted to see my family the following day about the damage I caused at school. Now how could I tell gogo about the fight? Her abusive persona would just be woken up and I didn't want to be abused again, it was the traumatic thing I never wanted to experience again. But I had to tell her, otherwise Mr Maseko would have come personally to our home.
I got home and she was in the kitchen. I just told her that she was needed at school.
"Why?", she asked without looking at me.
"I did something bad"
"What did you do?" Now she was looking at me.

I sat on the chair and played with my fingers.
"I fought with some girls from another class"
"A fight!? You are not a person who fights" I didn't think I was either. I don't know where all that came from.
"They started me, I was minding my own business and they started accusing me of things I don't know. They are the ones who hit me first. I was just defending myself, but I overdid it. They are at the clinic. I don't know how much damage I did.", I exhaled and looked at her with teary eyes.
"I didn't mean for it to get that far. I don't know whats wrong with me. I'm not a violent person. And now I fear I may be expelled from school. Mr Maseko was angry"

She pat my shoulder and hugged me, "I will talk with your principal tomorrow. We will find a way out of this"
"Thank you gogo. You know I have longed to see you being do caring like this."
She pulled out of the hug and looked at me.
"Let me continue with cooking. Go change and wash your uniform"
I went to my bedroom and took off my uniform. I laid on the bed and allowed sleep to overcome me. I was extremely tired.

In the morning, gogo was up and dressed. We were going to the meeting at school. I was scared of the outcome, I didn't want to be suspended or expelled. We walked on foot, my school was just a 10 minute walk from home. When we arrived, most students were in class. Only a few roamed the school grounds. I led her to the principal's office. We knocked and got inside. In the room was Mr Maseko, two other teachers, and the parents of the students I beat up.

"I'm glad to see you all here and thank you for honoring the invite. I hope everyone is doing well"
The parents were looking at me sternly like they wanted to beat me up.
"Without wasting any time, I will get straight to the point of what we are doing here. Yesterday there was a fight between students, namely, Nonkululeko Sibisi, Khethiwe Mdlalose, Londiwe Nyathi, Noxolo Ngcobo and Nqobile Chiya" the principal said.
One parent raised her voice, "it was not a fight. This mad girl beat our children. Noxolo is laying in a hospital bed. Umabokoboko yonke indawo ngenxa yalolu hlanya. Nganeni yona le!?", other parents agreed with her. I didn't know Noxolo was transferred to a hospital.

Mr Maseko tried to calm them down but they were angry and they wanted to get everything off their chest.
"I am Nqobile's mother, I talked to my daughter yesterday and she told me how this girl beat them up like an animal. I think she should be expelled. Other children are not safe with her in this school. She is a ticking time bomb. What if she kills our children one day?"
"Exactly. Akaxoshwe nje. Our kids not safety here this school in", that was Londiwe's mother.
English! I laughed a little.

"Uyahleka! Niyamubona!? Kshuthi iyamujabulisa yonke lento( She's laughing! Do you see her!? This is amusing to her)", I was just laughing at the English. Stick to Mageba please!
Gogo finally spoke with a calm voice, "I do not have all the details about what went down yesterday and I would like to hear the story from the principal. Please give him a chance to speak"

"Thank you gogo. Now as I was saying. A fright broke out yesterday. We only came when it was too late, the damage was already done."
"Who started the fight?", gogo asked.
"It's her, no one else! She's a bully!", Nqo's mother answered before the principal could speak.
"One of our students got the whole thing on camera. I understand this video is too explicit and may trigger some pain but we need to watch it so we can see how the whole thing happened, then we can take it from there"
