Two days after the dramatic amusement park party, Evangeline decided to visit the refugee children as she often did.

Her friends called her after she walked away, wanting to ask if she was okay. Rhea was informed what happened and she was ready to break Christian's nose but Kai stopped her. He dropped her home at the instructions of Damien.

Evangeline's bodyguard, Jasper, was along with her, in the front seat. Her shoulders felt heavy with the weight of the past days, but as she settled into the back of the car, a small smile crept onto her lips as she recollected the way Damien had taken care of her.

As she settled into the comfortable leather seat of the car, her thoughts drifted back to that night.

After she asked Damien to take her away from the amusement park, he had taken her to Central Park. It was nighttime, and the park was serene under the soft glow of the streetlights.

Walking along the meandering paths, they began talking about the many movies that had been filmed in Central Park, particularly romantic comedies.

When Evie told him how there was magic in these movies, to capture one's heart, to escape reality, Damien did not agree to her words.

"Well," Damien continued, "there's a certain movie, shot right here in the park, the main characters, they set these unrealistic expectations of love, and it just messes with people's heads. Real life isn't all grand gestures and sweeping romance."

Evangeline quipped, "I think it's nice to believe in something sweet, something that makes your heart skip a beat, even if it's a bit unrealistic."

Damien raised an eyebrow with a smirk, "So, you're saying you want unrealistic expectations?"

Evangeline playfully poked his arm, "Only in the movies."

He scoffed playfully at her comment.

Evangeline shook her head in mock disappointment. "You, Mr. Damien Whitmore, need a dose of optimism. Rom-coms are like a haven for dreamers. They're all about the 'happily ever after.'"

He nudged her with a sly grin. "Well, Your Royal Highness, I'll have you know, 'happily ever after' is a lot rarer than it appears in those movies."

She knew he was right.  Happily ever after was a rare occurrence. But she was having fun playing around.  She leaned closer, their banter heating up. "But that's the beauty of it, Damien. It's like diving into a world where sweet, unlikely things can happen."

"But then people start expecting the same in real life. They forget to see the fine line between real and fiction."

Curious, Evie asked, "You must have a favorite rom-com."
