After we left the restaurant, we walked to a spot that overlooked the city and sat down on a bench while we talked.

Dakota: I know that you want what's best for KC but you can't keep me from seeing her.

Dani: you're being ridiculous, I would never keep her from seeing her dad. I just want this to be over with.

Dakota: so come home.

Dani: you forget that we're not married anymore and I don't live with you anymore.

Dakota: we can change that.

Dani: I won't allow you to hurt me anymore Dakota.

Dakota: I never meant to hurt you...

I watched as she looked out towards the city while the tears fell away from her eyes. I wanted nothing more than to hold her but I didn't want her to fight me so I listened while she cried.

Dakota: I wish I could take it back.

Dani: I wish you could go back to the past, I would change alot of things.

I seen her looking at me and I looked back at her as we stared into each other's eyes. She was just as beautiful as the day we first met. I watched as she looked away and let out a deep breath before she stood up.

After she walked closer to the edge of the hill, I heard her whisper something but couldn't make out what she said.

Dakota: I know you probably won't to get home to the kids and I won't keep you any longer but I want you to know that I will always love you Dani, no matter what happens between us from now on.

Dani: you can't say things like that and expect me to pretend that we're still together.

Dakota: I don't want you to pretend that we're together.

Dani: I better go before Zak thinks something happened to me.

I watched as she begun walking away from me when I grabbed her hand and pulled her towards me which made her look into my eyes again.

Dakota: I can't watch you walk away from me anymore...

Dani: you need to let me go...

Dakota: I can't let you go...

Dani: don't do this Dakota, I...

I placed my hand on her waist and pulled her closer to me then rested my head against hers and felt her breath on my face while she trembled.

Dani: please don't do this Dakota...

Dakota: let me take care of you.

Dani: I can't...

Dakota: why can't you...

Dani: being this close to you scares me...

Dakota: Dani...

Dani: Dakota...

I felt her trembling even more than she was before and she started crying again while we were kissing each other.

Dakota: can we go back to my place and finish this?

Dani: I would love that...

We headed to my house after we got in the car, we stepped inside the house and shut the door and it was like we never stopped loving each.
