---20 YEARS LATER---

Jaemin walked the Earth as Death for two decades now, but still no sign of anyone as Ara. Jaehyun did remind him that reincarnation is not up to the god himself. And he did make a deal with the Reincarnation entity, which only meant that Jaemin did owe Jaehyun a little too much. 

He would only get to know Ara's precise location two days before her death. Despite it being her second life it will be her last. So he would get to know her for only two days or less.

Less time was on the plate and Jaemin was trying his best to find her before the two day mark. If he did, that would mean she could get to know him better. 

He wanted to complain to Jaehyun, but he knew if he did, Jaehyun would assume that Jaemin doubted their love and hence banish both of them.

And he couldn't let that happen, never. 

Of all the things he avoided going to Jaehyun. And the God didn't bother him either. The only other immortal Jaemin was on speaking terms was the Love Entity, or better known as Taeyong.

Taeyong: Did you find her?

Jaemin: Everyday you ask me the same thing and everyday my answer is the same.

Taeyong: Come on man. You have once chance. Give it your all.

Jaemin: I am!

He turned to the entity with defeat taking over him.

Jaemin: I just... I don't know where to look for her. 

He turned back to the city lights below. The wind brushed his hair softly as he crossed his legs on the terrace of one of the tallest buildings in Korea.

Jaemin: I can't find her anywhere.

Taeyong sighed and sat down next to the younger.

Jaemin: And I'm not even allowed to tell you this.

Taeyong: You think he doesn't know? Jaehyun knows everything. He just feels a little too egoistic to come take care of you like he did for Ara. So he lets me come see you.

Jaemin: If he cares so much for her... why doesn't he just let us be?

Taeyong: Because he can't just go against the rules. Luckily for you, he has found a loop hole in the books. He found you a chance to keep her. And even if he has accepted defeat... he still sees you as competition.

Jaemin: Competition? For what would I compete the all mighty with?

The Love entity chuckled and threw an arm around Jaemin's shoulders.

Taeyong: You, sir, could win the heart of his first love. Something he couldn't do while he was your elder brother in your first life. And something he couldn't do even now.

Jaemin's mouth fell open as a loud thunder boomed close to them.

Taeyong: Oops, I have spilled more than I needed to.

But Jaemin paid no heed.

Jaemin: Elder... Wait so like Ara said he was the next in line to the throne but he was assassinated so he... dang... How is he God then? Shouldn't he be a lost soul? Maybe a Death?

Taeyong: Jaehyun wasn't always God. Surely. But time repeats- If we jump into that topic then this conversation will never end.

Jaemin: What do you mean?

Taeyong: Fine... I'll break it into simpler words for you. Jaehyun's life is like a loop. Ever so often he is reincarnated as human. And if he dies, he returns to his godly position.

Jaemin: So he does it for fun.

Taeyong: Kind of-

This time lightening hit nearby and the two flinched.

Jaemin: I think that's a sign for you to shut up.

Taeyong: Yeah no shit. I'm lucky that I have not been disintegrated.

Hey guys! I edited most of this book because of silly mistakes like changing Jaemin's first lives three different times lmao. But anyway its been mostly fixed now! Its not perfect of course, but I will edit it again once this book is done
