Ara: Why can't i remember how he died before?

Jaehyun: How am i supposed to know?

He swirled the wine in his glass, not paying any heed to her.

Ara: We have been over this, you know everything. You make everything happen.

Jaehyun: We have also been over the fact that I am not your friend or buddy. You can not come visit me when you want to. Stop interrupting my time on Earth. Go.

Ara: Gosh you are of no help!

As she reached for the door he said something.

Jaehyun: Let go off that boy.

Ara: What did you say?

Jaehyun: Let go off him before you regret it.

Ara walked into Jaemin's living room to see him lazing on the couch, watching TV.

Ara: Student of the year and look at you.

Jaemin: Can you stop judging me? You always do that...

Ara: Do what?

Jaemin: Either judging me or avoiding my questions.

Ara: I never avoided your questions-

Jaemin: This morning?

Ara: I didn't avoid it, i really don't remember.

Jaemin: Tsk... didn't know you were that old to start losing your memories.

Ara: Yah! I am only a 1027 years old!

Jaemin: Well that's a bit too old for a human.

Ara: I have already told you I am not a human.

He sighed, looking back at the TV.

Jaemin: You said i have a day to live, then i shall binge watch my favorite series. 

Ara: You are watching Friends but you look like you are about to cry-

At that sentence, he, for real teared up and started crying. Ara's face contorted to a frown as she looked away from him.

Ara: I... Stop crying...

But he didn't listen as he continued on. Feeling awkward and unaware of what to do she just stood by the couch. His head was buried in a pillow as he cried into it. 

Hesitantly she reached forward and just pet his head. Though the crying didn't stop making it very awkward for Ara. She cleared her throat looking down at him to only see the back of his head. 

But it was not anytime soon that he stopped crying. In fact it took an entire hour for him to stop and he ended up sleeping right after.

Ara was watching his series the entire time till then. And she only looked away when his sniffles had changed to snores. She stayed like that, watching him sleep for a while.

Though all she got was a rush of memories from his second life. It was terrible. Tragic if she must say so. Her heart hurt remembering all of it, prompting her to get up and head to the kitchen.

Reaching the room she looked around to do something and get her mind off Jaemin. But it didn't help that he was right in the other room. Sighing she decided to make his dinner since it was already getting so late.

While at it, she managed to make everything he liked. At least what she remembered since she seemed to be forgetting stuff. Speaking of which she wasn't sure why it was happening.

It seemed to bother her that certain memories just seem to disappear like that. And Jaehyun would never bother answering her. He annoyed her more than ever honestly. Why couldn't he just give her answers? But riddles seem to be the way for him.

Jaemin: Ara...?

She turned and saw the male squinting in sleepiness.

Jaemin: Are you cooking for yourself?

Ara: Dude... i already told you-

Jaemin: That you don't eat. Yeah... so its for me?

The girl took a moment but nodded. She didn't know if he saw her agreeing because he was silent. A minute later he cleared his throat and leaned against the door frame.

Jaemin: How long do i have left?

Ara: 17 hours.

The male let out a shaky breath. 

Jaemin: Can i go somewhere?

Ara: Sure... its up to you...

Jaemin: Will you be following?

Ara: I need to.

Jaemin: For what?

Ara: I...

Jaemin: Its your job?

Ara: Yeah...

Jaemin: I see...

Another moment of silence before he rubbed his eyes.

Jaemin: I'll get changed and then eat. Can't miss a meal made by you, now can I?
