Peacemaker has a bit of Scopophobia which means the irrational fear of being looked at or watched.
When I imagine the rainforest from Peacemaker's point of view, I sometimes see the Rainwings just being camouflaged and constantly spying on your every move to be kind of gradually tormenting. Peacemaker started feeling when and where someone or anyone was watching him.
Darkstalker doesn't normally apply to this though.
