Venuswing and Drytail(or Drywing/Venom):

Enemies to lovers sounds like the most likely way this could work. Throughout PAIS and especially in the later chapters, they are down each other's throats as they often argue with each other and the ravine incident but because of the ravine incident, Drytail sees a more vulnerable and guilty side of Venuswing, something Drytail doesn't often see and with a bit of help of Ash(who hadn't died yet), Drytail eventually moves past that to try to see Venuswing in a different perspective. For Venuswing, the idea of your greatest enemy being your greatest friend because they know everything about you comes into play as Venuswing tries to learn more about Drytail to shoot back with but unintentionally realizes that they both have things the other can relate and empathize with.

It'll soon become where neither wants to shoot back with a remark or anything as in reality, neither wants to hurt the other and they'll soon only do it out of routine rather than an actual dislikement. Venuswing will act flirty to annoy Drytail at times while Drytail will try to act like it doesn't affect him or that he secretly doesn't enjoy it, but it becomes pretty clear. However, when Venuswing asks him out sarcastically, Drytail just gives in and Venuswing becomes stunned as she didn't expect Drytail to accept it.

After Ash's death, Drytail, like Peacemaker, goes with Venuswing due to Venuswing's desire to explore, and despite at first staying at Lunasight, Venuswing would try to look through all the kingdoms and Drytail would follow along, after all, there's nothing else to go to back in the Sand Kingdom as his mother is dead.

Throughout the relationship, Drytail and Venuswing argue about the smallest of things and they eventually stop talking to each other until one wins the other's affection again and they go back to normal like it never happened, it's like a cycle as in reality they never hate the other, but they try to not give in to being the one that apologizes.
