Character Facts #9

Someone mentioned to do Queen Snowfall so here it is.

1. Snowfall is still tense, paranoid, easily annoyed, close-minded, and snappy throughout the five-year time skip. However, she is working on and it has cooled off where she's more accepting of others and others' opinions.

2. She developed a close bond with Lynx as well through the five years and Lynx often comes with Snowfall when she has to make business elsewhere.

3. Snowfall had started to keep in contact with Winter. Most of the time the meetings can be a little awkward as it's mostly having to do with Mink visiting Winter.

4. Snowfall is by far the most aggressive in questioning the Jade Winglet about Darkstalker's demise. Especially Moonwatcher considering Snowfall is aware that Moonwatcher had some sort of relationship with Darkstalker and knows that Moonwatcher is aware of what happened. Why she hasn't tortured any of them for answers mainly for two reasons. One, as a queen, she has to keep some sort of rational thought, and two, other queens will intervene which is not good for having a conflict during peacetime.

5. Her opinion of Moonwatcher hasn't changed much as she still thinks Moonwatcher is annoying, useless, and untrustworthy.

6. Out of all dragons the two dragons Snowfall has the most caution about are Glory and Peacemaker. Glory because Snowfall is aware that, unlike most other Rainwings, Glory is more than willing to use her weapons of camouflaging, sleep darts, venom, and claws to either retrain or kill. Weapons like camouflaging and venom are hard to deal with. Peacemaker however is more interesting as Snowfall doesn't think he's dangerous, she just has a feeling Peacemaker always is plotting something or has different intentions when talking to him.

7. Speaking of Peacemaker, a little after Peacemaker left the Ice Kingdom, Snowfall talked with Polar about the jumping they did to Shard and Peacemaker. Polar described how Peacemaker was and Snowfall started to sometimes feel like Peacemaker was behind her right when she wasn't looking. It formed into an irrational fear that soon went away after a couple of days.

8. Snowfall's bedroom has a few rows of ice sculptures that Mink had made her through the years, they become a little more closer now and Snowfall is a little overprotective over Mink's safety.

9. She already has the idea that Mink sees Peacemaker more than a friend. She has no idea what Mink sees in Peacemaker.

10. Snowfall would describe Peacemaker as a boring, hollow doll that just woke up and pretended it was a dragon.

11. Unlike other tribes, Snowfall is more than willing to do public executions if found guilty and deserving enough. Although other queens had done executions before, Coral does it quickly with her claws(for personal matters), Ruby wouldn't do public executions with the only exception being the fight with Scarlet, and the others either wouldn't do executions or just kill in self-defense if need be.  

12. Sometimes she thinks about getting rid of other gifts as well but it mainly is just something she considers to herself.

13. Snowfall still taunts herself by comparing herself to her mother, Queen Glacier if ever there is a time Snowfall isn't sure what action to take or what's best for the tribe. She tends to overwork herself.

14. Snowfall can't help but notice Shard's gradual yet hidden resentment of her. Although she doesn't care that much, she has been more willing to let Shard leave to do tasks like protecting Peacemaker to at least let him be outside of the kingdom in case he snaps.

15. Snowfall can't stand young dragonets and loathes the idea that she may soon have to make an heir before something bad happens to her. Although there are other heirs to the throne like Mink, Snowfall doesn't want to hand the grueling responsibility to her.

16. Snowfall hates her job as although she wants the best for her tribe, she hates a lot of things about being the queen such as constantly dealing with annoying dragons and their problems, setting up all sorts of arrangments for deals and trades, and having to ensure the kingdom and palace don't collapse and remain in order. She has to do this every day with hardly any breaks.

17. One thing Snowfall, Peacemaker, and even Shard can all bond over is the need for coffee to keep active. You can also include Glory as well. 

18. The gift of strength is her favorite animus object given how easily she can throw others like ragdolls with it.

19. The gift of vision is her least favorite animus object given that it was horrifically annoying the first time when the ring would never come off and if she sees it again, it's practically insulting her as that means she's doing a bad enough job of being the queen that a spirit has to help her.

20. In PAIS, she doesn't have any romantic partner at the moment as she's too busy with her duties as a queen to even consider it and she's too exhausted to put in effort in a relationship.

Now, when I was/am writing Queen Snowfall, I didn't want her to be a jerk for no reason but I did want to write her in a way where she's not easily likable but understandable. She doesn't like dragons like the Dragonets of Destiny as their school had killed dragonets and she finds that terrible for a place to continue. She doesn't trust Peacemaker because although Peacemaker doesn't have intentions for hurting Snowfall at the moment, suspicious activity had been around Peacemaker therefore the lack of trust.

Snowfall cares about her friends and family and keeping them safe regardless if she has to take actions that others wouldn't agree with. She also just struggles to show affection as well. 

In a way, she's kind of like a big obstacle for Peacemaker just by the virtue of existing as Peacemaker will be hunted down if the connection of Darkstalker is out, Snowfall has the power and willingness to keep Peacemaker away from Mink, and Snowfall doesn't trust Peacemaker anyway. There is not much Peacemaker can do(besides taking drastic actions like animus manipulation and/or murder) as Snowfall is a Queen, she has one of the highest powers among everyone.

Now, about the new chapter. Since It's summer I have more time to work on these chapters however in an ironic twist, because I have way more free time, I'm starting to procrastinate more in all fields like writing, drawing, or doing anything productive. Now, good news, for the most part, the writing is nearly completed, the drawing needs some work if there is going to be a drawing with it though.
