"For real?" Sam's face twitched into a look of disgust as we both watched the video I saved on my phone last night. "Oh shit. They're really eating it."
"Yup," I replied, pausing the video at just the right moment, it was enough to make him vomit everything he ate since last week (digested and undigested food included).
"That's just sick. Why. Why did you show me this. Just. Why." He cried, not blinking the whole time. I practically just scarred his eyes for life. He groaned before rubbing his eyes with the back of his palm, as if he was trying to erase what he just saw.
I just showed him a video I saw last night about two girls eating their poop in a cup. Yes, when I first saw it, I almost puked too. So in order to recover from its horror, I decided to pass it on to another poor victim.
"Be a man," I chuckled, shoving my phone back in my pocket. He sent me a glare.
"Be a girl and don't keep videos like that in your phone."
I shrugged my shoulders, not considering his suggestion for a second. I was secretly happy inside. I'm so glad Sam and I are like the usual again. Not awkward at all. He's such a nice guy.
"Hey Mira," I heard a chair being moved beside me. When I turned around, I met a smiling Emma. My face brightened up as soon as I saw her. She's so pretty. So girly. So not me.
"Hey," I returned her smile. Sam also greeted her with a nod, and then he turned his head to shoot me a teasing grin. My brows automatically wrinkled in disapproval. Here we go.
"Heard you just found out about her name yesterday. And she's been sitting right next to you the whole semester." Then he turned to Emma and gave her a dramatic sigh with a matching hand on his face. "I know how you must feel, Em."
Jerk.
I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms against my chest. "How come you know about it?"
I was thinking stalker.
He grinned at me. "You don't know how news travels in this school. And you definitely don't know how watched you are."
I eyed him in disbelief. "What do you mean watched?"
"You're pretty popular Mira," Emma joined in the conversation. I turned my gaze towards her. I didn't believe it when Sam said it, but when Emma backed him up, I was starting to. "Especially with your fights. People talk a lot about you. But I think it's because you're so pretty."
People were actually listening to us in the cafeteria that day?
People actually watch me in my fights?
I felt my cheeks heating up. Oh my God. And she just complimented me again. Why is she complimenting me? I feel like I don't deserve to be acknowledged by a girl like her.
She's way prettier, but I was too embarrassed to tell her. I mean, I just can't. It's not like me.
"People are just nosy," I quickly brushed it off, discreetly hiding my cheeks with my loose hair. Shit I'm getting flustered over nothing.
Sam was just looking at me, like he was feeling sorry for me or something, while Emma just continued smiling. Gosh she's such an angel. But pertaining to what they just told me, it sent shivers to my spine.
I'm being watched?
Dude. That's just creepy. I don't even have that many friends to be deemed 'popular'. What they're saying is ridiculous. They're just trying to flatter me.
