"When we open our hearts, angels appear in the form of guiding voices, helping us find our way in the darkness of life." - Paulo Coelho

"Oui monsieur." Your father spoke on the phone as Kaya walked by his door. The little girl watched him speak and hang up the phone. Raymond looked up at the little girl and smiled. "Bonjour little one."

"Hi. What are you doing?"

"Telling the people of my home country that I'm alive. So I can get my money."

"Okay." Kaya squeaked cheerfully before leaving his doorway.

Raymond laughed quietly at her presence. Your siblings were very amusing. Kaya had that normal whimsical and silly innocence of a six year old child. She was naturally curious and very blunt on some occasions. The twins were also very comical in their own right. Ritsuki is very 'lightskin' as your Aunt Glory has described him on multiple occasions. Very self confident and comical. Opposite to Kazuki who's very reserved, and sometimes cynical.

Raymond stared at the phone in his hands before turning on the device. The lock sreen was the last image he had of your mother. She wasn't in her hero suit, but in a red colored backless gown with a high bedazzled neck and long sleeves. He found the picture in his account's files.

Maybe. Raymond thought to himself while staring at her image. In another universe. Another reality. Our family would be bigger and not so . . . sad

"Dad!" Raymond was pulled out of his thoughts from you calling at his door. "You okay? I've been calling you for a while."

"Oui. I'm fine just . . . thinking is all." He said in English as you tilted your head in concern.

"Okay, how long until your parents are here?"

"They say about twelve hours last I checked." He said while standing from his bed.

"Hey, I'm curious." You said suddenly. There was wariness in your voice. Almost as if you were afraid to utter your question.

Raymond eyed your unease with a loving gaze as he held your face
"Are you alright my dear?"

"Are you . . . going back to France? And leaving me here?"

The man gasped quietly before looking away he left go of your face and pondered. "In all honesty, I'm not entirely sure." Raymond answered as he listened to the commotion of your family downstairs. "You have a very full life here. Two parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, grandparents and family friends who all care about you. Your mother is around although in spirit form." He looked away from you resisting the urge to cry his heart out. "Truth be told, I don't see much space for myself in your life as it stands. Being in your father's house feels like I'm intruding and taking you to France would be selfish of me."

"Why'd you say it like that?" You asked suddenly to his surprise. Raymond looked to see you give him a stern look, a gaze similar to that of your mother's. "Hawks isn't my only dad, just like grandma Toei isn't my only grandmother. You're my dad too. Sure he's got 15 years on you, but it's not like it's your fault. I'd like it if you stayed."

Raymond's eyes shone with joy at your words as he nodded. "Perhaps I will."

"Heyo!" Keigo knocked on the door. "Breakfast is ready, come down when you feel like it."

"I'd better go downstairs, I have patrols with Uncle Enji later." You gave your father a smile as you left the room.

The ghost of your mother stood next to him watching his face. Raymond stood there, staring at her face in his phone, he let out a deep sigh before leaving the room.
