Akira's POV

I yawned and stretched as I sat up. I turned to look at my right: Lo'ak was sleeping on his stomach. His back raised up and down. He was sleeping peacefully. He had sneaked out from the room he and Neteyam was sleeping in, to mine. I guess he couldn't sleep, and neither could I. So, we ended up talking and hanging out together, until we both fell asleep. I heard the voices of the other Sullys as they eat their breakfast.

" Where's Kira and Lo'ak?" Tuk asked. I smiled when I heard her adorable voice.

" They're probably still sleeping, I think they stayed up late," Neteyam said. I could picture him calmly eating as his family look at him in confusion.

" How do you know?" Kiri questioned.

"I could hear them laughing last night."

I frowned. Were we that loud? Or did Neteyam come peek at us?  I smirked thinking whether Neteyam heard his younger brother talk about an embarrassing incident that happened when they were younger. Lo'ak groaned and turned onto his back, covering his eyes with his arm. I shook his shoulder, trying to wake him up.  He groaned and sat up, half asleep. He blinked once, twice, before falling into me, like a hug.

" Oi, wake up, skxawng!" I whispered. He mumbled something, too low for me to hear. He had his head on my shoulder. I tried waking him again. This skxawng. Then, an idea came to my mind.

" Lo'ak! Tsireya's here!" I whisper-yelled. He shot up, awake. I pushed him away from me as he stood up and turned his head left and right.

" Where? Where?"

I laughed, slapping my thigh. The joke was funny, but the look on Lo'ak's face was hilarious. His hair was in a mess and his expression was surprised. After finding out that it was a trick, he hissed at me. I stood up and patted his back.

" Morning, Lo." I chuckled.

" Are you excited?"

I walked along the shore with Kiri after breakfast. We talked about nature and about how my life was with the sky people.

" Excited?" I asked, " About what?"

Kiri nudged my shoulder. " About tonight."

" Oh...that..."

" You don't sound so excited," Kiri said. I tried to smile.

" I am, really, but...are you sure? Because this bonfire/campfire seems more of a party to me." I sighed. She just smiled.

" I don't usually go to this type of stuff, but, hey, we don't want to decline an invitation from the chief's children, do we?"

I nodded and we continued walking. I'm starting to feel more at home than I did before. Maybe leaving the sky people was actually best for me...
