Growing up with the Bad Guys Pt 2

" Okay, here you go."

Catalina handed 4-year-old Akira a biscuit. Akira grabbed at it with her little fingers and devoured it like a wolf. This made Catalina laugh. It has been a year since they first took in the young girl who had been abandoned on their doorstep. Despite not agreeing to adopting the young girl at first, Reynold had grown a deep affection for Akira. All of them had.

" Here comes Uncle Logan! " Logan said, stomping into the room as he reached for Akira. She squealed loudly, laughing, trying to run away from his grasp. Logan grabbed her with ease as he carried her, up into the air. Akira laughed excitingly.

" You can never get away from me!" Logan growled playfully. Akira giggled. Catalina wondered how Logan managed to carry the young girl like that. To be honest, she felt that the girl had become heavier. Ben strolled into the room, carrying a sack filled with who knows what. He gave them a smile and patted Akira on the head as Logan put her down.

Catalina glanced at the clock which was hanging on the living room's wall. It was 8 pm.  Akira had to be put in bed at 9. She still had time. 

" I'm heading out, if I don't come back after 9, put Akira to bed, kay?"

Logan and Akira were busy playing a game on Logan's tablet. Catalina crossed her arms.

" Okay?"

Logan nodded. Catalina sighed. The young girl better be sleeping when she came back. She grabbed a gun, grabbed her coat and headed out. Her bag slung on her shoulder. Inside: ammo, a syringe filled with a liquid and a bottle of water. Poisoned water, naturally. 

She took some money from a drawer, 500 bills. She knew this was risky, and she didn't want Akira to see what she was going to do. But she needed those drugs. She wasn't going to consume them. She needed them for her sciency BUT important mixtures. And she knew most drug dealers around here aren't legit. It was worse when female buyers bought from them. She knew that. So, she came prepared. Threatening was her answer. Sometimes, she had to kill. She didn't have a choice: most drug dealers carry weapons with them.

With a sigh, she headed out.

"Do you or do you not feel Bonita?"

Reynold and Ben sat in front of Akira; their face was full of makeup. Heavy makeup. Their lips had been applied with red lipstick. Reynold's face was white with foundation. Ben's eyes looked as if they'd been punched. Both of their cheeks were red like tomatoes.

 Akira placed a tiara on Ben's head, then, she grabbed a large red bow and clipped it onto Reynold's hair. She placed her hands on her hips and smiled happily at her work.

"Do you or do you not feel Bonita?" she asked again.

" I feel Bonita." both Ben and Reynold replied.

" Wonderful! Because you look Bonita!" Akira said as she held up a mirror for them to see. Rick AKA Ricky stood at the door, laughing his guts out. He held up his phone and took hundreds of pictures. Logan had long fell asleep in the living room. It was a shame that he didn't see this, but Ricky was going to tell everyone anyways. Ben stood up, sighing. He walked towards the window of Akira's room. Then, he yelled.

" Catalina's back!"

Reynold and Ricky turned their heads at this information. Ben checked the time. 11pm. Oh shit. They were going to get it. Reynold and Ricky rushed to put Akira to bed. They tidied everything before telling Akira that they would let her do even more makeovers on them if she went to sleep. Akira agreed happily and faked sleep. Then they rushed out, just in time.

" Hey sis!" Reynold said, laughing nervously.

" What-" 

Ben smiled. " She's asleep, I just checked!"

" Okay, good. But...what in the world happened to your face?"

" We were doing dares!" Ricky yelled. Catalina shushed him.

" You guys better wash that horrible thing off your face. If not, Akira will be frightened if she wakes up and sees you." she said.

" Yes ma'am!" And the boys rushed towards the bathroom.

" What is up with them?" Catalina muttered as she shook her head. Slowly, she opened the door to Akira's room. The young girl was fast asleep. Catalina smiled. She thought of the boys with makeup on.

" Akira would have liked to see that."
