Akira's POV
I groaned as the morning light shone on me. I blinked, squinting my eyes shut and turning on my side, pulling my blanket on top of myself.
" Morning sleepyhead."
I huffed. I could recognize that voice from a mile away.
" Lemme sleep, Lo'ak," I protested, rolling my eyes as he chuckled. I protested as he pulled my blanket off me before sitting down.
" You missed breakfast, Kira, so I brought it here, for you," he beamed, like a little kid. I rubbed my eyes, blinking away the remains of sleep.
" I overslept?" I asked, slightly surprised. I never overslept, well, I mean I did, but rarely.
He scoffed playfully, " Yeah! And left me all lonely all morning!"
I rolled my eyes, bumping shoulders with him. " You still got Tsireya," I teased, making him roll his eyes.
" Shut up," he muttered before changing the subject, " Come on, Kira, can't have my little best friend being hungry, can I?"
He passed me the food. But I didn't feel hungry.
" I'll eat it later," I waved him off, " And mind you, I'm older."
He huffed. Classic Lo'ak.
He grabbed the piece of meat and shoved it into my mouth, making me yelp in surprise, but chewed, grumbling.
" If you're not going to eat, I'm going to feed you." he smirked.
" Hmph, no way!" I protested.
" I'm already doing it," he said, pushing another piece of meat into my mouth. I couldn't help but feel my cheeks warming up, and some other weird feeling. This was weird...
" Ok! Ok! I'll eat it myself!"
He smirked as I snatched away the food from him.
" Are you blushing Kira?" he teased, making me slap his arm.
" Ow! Ow! Okay! Okay!"
I glared at him as he held his hands up in mock surrender.
" But you WERE blushing."
I scoffed at him between mouthfuls before hitting him. But a smile tugged on my lips.
" Ow! Hey! It's true! Ow!"
