We walk inside and after a few minutes he walks in, "What do you six have to say?" He asks
Bess talks first, "I'd ask you to check the cameras in the storeroom, because I'd totally be on there, time stamped, looking for wine. But we don't have any cameras in the storeroom" She says
Then George goes, "I was in the ladies' room and it's a single stall, so yeah...by myself" She says
Then the guy I don't know goes, "I already said the repair shop was closed. I figured that implied it was empty. That's why I was headed here for dinner." He says
"Ryan Hudson can verify my whereabouts. I delivered food to him and his friends when the lights went out" Ace says
"Skylar and I found her. My fingerprints will be on her plate. Other than the person that did this, I believe I was the last one to see her alive" Nancy says
"As Nancy said, I was with her when she found the body. As for when the lights went out, I was washing dishes in the kitchen" I say
Once he is finished talking with me, "Ace here has an alibi, bring the rest to the station" He says
He puts us in the back of cop cars and drives us to the station. We are there for an hour waiting, "Why don't they let us go already?" Bess asks pacing
"They are deciding if we are just witnesses or if they have enough to charge us?" The guy says
"I never caught your name" I say
"It's Nick" He says
"Charge us with what?" George asks
"The death of Tiffany Hudson" Nancy says
A detective walks up, "Nancy hi..." She says
"Karen hi...I was wondering..." Nancy says
"She's Detective Hart in here FYI" Chief McGinnis says
"Can we go now?" Nancy asks
"We've told you all we know, we're not suspects" She continues
"I disagree with your opinion. I'm looking at a decent 5 pack...town screwup, ex-con, city girl, new girl, and Nancy Drew" He says
"Why does he say your name like that?" Bess asks
"She used to complicate my job" He says
"You mean do it for you?" George asks
I laugh, "I haven't thrown your mom in the drunk tank this month Miss Fan. Be sure to tell her hi for me" He says
"It was only one count of shoplifting I never did hard time" Bess says
"I didn't say you did...by ex-con I meant him" He says looking at Nick
I see Nancy's expression change, "Happened when I was a minor, records sealed and time served" Nick says
"You never told me you went to jail" Nancy says
"One of the many things you never asked about" He says
"Oh...so this is a thing" George says
It clicks, they're sleeping together, "What concerns me is why you aren't questioning Ryan Hudson" Nancy says
"Thanks for setting me straight" He says
"Everyone can go except you, Nancy. Lets go in my office" He says
She follows him in and everyone leaves except me, I decide to wait for her. She's in there for 15 minutes then walks out, "Karen was totally out of line for calling you. I didn't ask for a lawyer" She says to the guy who walked in
