It's been a few days since we robbed the morgue. Tiffany's funeral was two days ago and it wasn't as smooth as it could have been. Long story short, Tiffany's ghost possessed George and tried to kill Ryan but we got her soul to rest and George is fine. Also found out, Bess thinks she is related to the Marvin's but isn't sure and she's been living out of her van. Nancy agreed to let her stay at her house until she could find a place. Also, George had to reveal that she was having an affair with Ryan Hudson which to be honest didn't surprise me that much, I had my suspicions. Other than that, Nancy is still trying to prove we are innocent in Tiffany's murder.
Right now, I am at work helping George with inventory. Nancy is late as usual and Nick is waiting for her, "Hey is Nancy in yet?" He asks
I shake my head, "I found more stuff about Owen Marvin in Tiffany's files" He says
That's another thing, Owen Marvin, one of the heirs to the Marvin estate. He asked us to cater a party yesterday which happened to be the same day George was possessed. I think we did pretty well considering, but I saw him flirting with Nancy which made me well...jealous.
"Right like your girlfriend is going to ruin her perfect record of being late" George says which brings me out of my thoughts
Then the door opens and Nancy walks in, "What do we know about the Velvet Masque?" She asks
"Is that a band?" Nick asks
"No, it's the underground, depraved, pervy, rich peoples party for East Coast one percenters" George says
"That's in a different secret location every five years. Yeah yeah, but I always thought it was an urban legend" Nancy says
"Legend or not steer clear" George says
George walks away, "Uh speaking of shady rich people which questionable hobbies" Nick says
"Let me guess, you found more dirt on Owen in those files" Nancy says
I take this as my cue to leave, I grab the box and go back into the kitchen. After a few minutes, Nancy kisses him goodbye and leaves. I go back to doing inventory when, "Skylar come here" I hear Nick say
I put the box down and walk out to the front and see him and George at the bar, "What's up?" I ask
He hands me some of the files, "Wow Tiffany must have been investigating for years" I say
"Yeah, I think she was trying to look for overlap between the Marvin and Hudson shipping empire, but I have no idea what this stuff is" He says
"Well this is a shipping manifest" George says
"You sure?" Nick asks
"Dude maritime family" She says
"Has Nancy gotten anything on Owen?" I ask
"She hasn't called me back yet" Nick says
George gives a look, "What's that look for?" He asks
"Just trying to decide if you sending Nancy to Owen showed great confidence or great stupidity" She says
"A little of you goes a long way" He says
"Oh I know, that's why I don't fish. Imagine me on a boat" She says
I give a little chuckle and we keep looking at the papers until we decide to go check on Nancy. We knock on the door and it takes a minute before she answers, "Hey uh what's up?" She says
"W-What's up? Is everything alright?" Nick asks, "I've been leaving messages"
"You're missing inventory day" George says
