Chapter 13

Next Day: 5 pm

I'm back at my apartment after I set up my date with Nancy. It looks amazing now I just need to get ready. It's a little cold out so I decide to wear black ripped jeans with a white sweatshirt paired with a yellow and black flannel jacket over top. I put on my white air forces with my hair up in a high pony with the ends curled. I put on my rings and chain necklace then put on deodorant and spray my perfume.

I look in the mirror fixing my outfit and trying to calm my nerves. I don't know why I'm nervous she's already told me she loves me but this is our first date. I don't want to screw it up. I grab my keys and the flowers I bought Nancy, her favorite, Lily's. I walk down to my car and drive to Nancy's house. I park then walk up to the door and knock. After a few seconds, Nancy opens the door and my breath is taken away, she looks beautiful. She's wearing blue ripped jeans with a light grey sweater as her hair is down with slight curls.

I hand her the flowers, "You look beautiful" I say

She takes the flowers, smiling, "Thanks baby you look amazing" She says

I smile, "I love the flowers, my favorite" She says

She quickly puts them in a vase then walks out. I interlace my fingers with hers as we walk to my car. I open the door for her first then get in my side and start driving, "So where are we going?" She asks

I look at her, "It's a surprise" I say

"Blue you know I hate surprises" She says

"I know but you'll like this one, I promise" I say and give her a smile

She nods her head smiling. After about 10 minutes, we pull up. I turn to Nancy before we get out of the car, "Close your eyes" I say

She gives me a look before she closes her eyes. I get out of the car and help her out and we start walking. After a few minutes we get to the set up so I stop walking, "Okay baby you can open your eyes" I say

I stand next to her as I see her take in everything around her. I set up a picnic on the beach with tons of pillows and blankets. I also used some poles to stick in the ground to wrap twinkle lights above the blanket. I have all of her favorite foods and drinks in the picnic basket. I have a bluetooth speaker as well to play some light music later. Nancy turns to me with a smile on her face, "This is beautiful" She says

I grab her hand, "I don't deserve this" She says and looks down

I place my hand under her chin to lift her face to look at me, "You deserve the world. I'll do everything in my power to give it to you" I say

She gives me a soft smile before leaning in connecting our lips. I smile into the kiss, as we pull away, I lead her to sit down on the blanket. We start to eat and are talking about everything and nothing at the same time. We are enjoying each others company. Then Nancy stands up and holds out her hand, "May I have this dance?" She asks

I grab her hand and put on a slow song, "I must warn you, I'm not a great dancer" I say

She smiles, "Follow my lead" She says

She places my hands on her hips as hers are around my neck. She starts swaying so I do the same. Then she leans in connecting our lips, our lips moving perfectly with each other. Once we pull away for air, she rests her head against my shoulder. We keep dancing until the song stops then we sit back down. As we sit back down, we stare into each others eyes. We both lean in and kiss again, both getting into it. I grab her by the hips and lift her into my lap, deepening the kiss. We sit like that kissing when she starts moving her hips, God this is amazing. We both pull away out of breath, "Are you sure?" I ask
