"So, you'll be out the whole day?" Junkyu frowned, watching JeongWoo smooth imaginary creases on his suit jacket.

"More likely." JeongWoo replied. He glanced up at Junkyu with a reassuring smile. "Don't worry, Sugar. You have Ayida here to help you if you need anything."

His gaze shifted to the elderly maid sitting on a chair beside Junkyu's bed. Ayida returned his look with an unimpressed smile, her expression silently scolding him for the last-minute call. If he had told her yesterday, she could have baked something for Junkyu to enjoy during the day.

JeongWoo's attention then moved to the little girl perched on Junkyu's lap. With a playful grin, he placed a hand on her head. "And you've got this little bugger to entertain you," he teased, ruffling her neatly braided hair.

"Bad Jongu!" Dayana protested indignantly, swatting at his hand. Her tiny hands worked to restore the damage, her expression one of pure betrayal. What an evil man to mess with her nana's hard work!

JeongWoo laughed heartily, pulling his hand back. It was always fun to tease the spirited little girl. He found himself hoping that one of his pups would be a girl, just so he could tease her the same way he did Dayana.

Junkyu pressed his lips together, trying not to laugh as he reached to fix Dayana's hair. He could already imagine himself doing this a lot in the future, knowing how mischievous JeongWoo could be. One day, he might even find one of their pups crying because their father had gone too far with a joke.

"Okay," Junkyu relented with a sigh. "But this isn't an overnight trip, right?"

"Of course not, Sweetheart," JeongWoo assured him smoothly. "It's just a regular site inspection. I'll be back before your bedtime."

It was a lie, of course. The real purpose of his trip was far more complicated. But he saw no need to worry Junkyu with details about meeting Hyo Jun.

JeongWoo bent down, one hand resting on the bed to support his weight, the other gently caressing Junkyu's cheek. "Update me when Dr. Yoshi comes by, alright?"

Junkyu sighed softly. "If only you'd told me yesterday, I would've asked Doyoung to come today instead of yesterday."

JeongWoo hid a small smile, not revealing that Doyoung was already downstairs, waiting to join him on the trip.

"I'm sorry, Sugar. It slipped my mind. How about this: I'll ask him to come again tomorrow to make up for it?" JeongWoo offered, hoping to smooth things over.

"Really?" Junkyu's face lit up, his eyes sparkling with excitement.

"Really," JeongWoo confirmed, his heart warming at the sight of his omega's happiness.

He leaned down to press soft kisses on Junkyu's belly, one for each of the pups, exaggerating his movements with a dramatic flair to annoy Dayana. As expected, the little girl huffed in frustration, her tiny hands balling into fists as she resisted the urge to grab JeongWoo's head and push it away. Despite her simple upbringing in a small village, Dayana had been taught proper manners, and she knew it would be rude to lay hands on someone older, let alone yank their hair.

Satisfied with his playful antics, JeongWoo pressed a final kiss to Junkyu's cheek before standing. "Be good, Sugar," he murmured, his tone soft with affection, before turning to leave.

The alpha exited the room, leaving Junkyu in Ayida's capable hands. Vince stood at the door, having decided to personally guard the room rather than delegating the responsibility to his subordinates. This reassurance was exactly what JeongWoo needed to step away from his omega without worrying about Junkyu's safety every second of the trip.
