Junkyu couldn't decide whether he should feel relieved that his blood sugar levels were in the normal range or devastated at the thought that his genes had caused his pups to develop macrosomia. He had hoped the struggles of being a larger-than-average omega would end with him. But why? Why did his pups have to suffer too?

"It's okay, Sugar. You and our pups are healthy, and that's what matters," JeongWoo said softly, his hand tenderly stroking Junkyu's back, his voice a soothing balm to the omega's turbulent thoughts.

They had just returned from their second appointment with Dr. Yoshi, and Junkyu had retreated to his nest, overcome with sorrow about his babies' condition. Ignoring Doyoung's curious glances, he had offered him only a tight-lipped smile. He'd even brushed off Travis's greeting with a distracted, "Make yourself at home," before retreating to the bedroom.

Now, lying in his mate's comforting embrace, Junkyu looked up at JeongWoo. He rested his head against the alpha's strong arm, using it as a pillow. "Macrosomia isn't exactly what most would call healthy," he murmured, his voice tinged with bitterness.

"But Dr. Yoshi said they're perfectly healthy," JeongWoo countered, his hopeful gaze meeting Junkyu's sad eyes. "We've planned for a cesarean from the start, so there's no risk of shoulder dystocia or fetal distress. As long as we monitor their growth, everything will be fine."

Junkyu fell silent, studying JeongWoo's face for any hint of disappointment or resentment. But there was none. The alpha's gentle smile wasn't a facade; it radiated genuine love and reassurance.

"You should be angry with me," Junkyu whispered, his voice breaking. "I can't even give you normal children." His parents' harsh words echoed in his mind, feeding the belief that he was unworthy of an alpha as wonderful as JeongWoo.

JeongWoo chuckled softly, placing a firm yet tender hand on the back of Junkyu's head and pulling him close. "Sometimes, I think you pity yourself so much that you don't see me clearly," he said, wrapping Junkyu in a warm embrace. "I was born a high-level alpha, but if you haven't noticed, Vince, Max, and even most of my bodyguards are bigger, taller, and stronger than me. That blonde alpha outside? He's taller, too, even though I'm supposed to be superior in every physical aspect." JeongWoo snorted bitterly, thinking of Haruto's infuriating twin brother.

"My father always said I was a weak high-level alpha, unfit to be his successor. He admires Jihoon for his physical strength and Rose for her mental fortitude. Compared to them, I've always fallen short. I've come to terms with the fact that I'll never make him proud. But now, because of you, I think I can."

Junkyu pulled back slightly, his gaze locking onto JeongWoo's.

"If our pups inherit your genes, they'll be perfect high-level alphas," JeongWoo continued, tucking a stray strand of hair behind Junkyu's ear. "I know it sounds shallow, but my father will finally have a reason to be proud of me. What you see as a flaw is a blessing to me, and it will be for our children too. So, please, be proud of yourself. Carrying three pups isn't easy, but you're doing it so beautifully."

Overwhelmed by JeongWoo's unwavering support, Junkyu felt tears welling up. "How can you love me more than I love myself?" he whispered, his voice trembling with emotion.

"Maybe that's why the Goddess made us fated-mates," JeongWoo said with a playful grin, pulling Junkyu into a crushing hug. "So I can love you when you can't."

Junkyu chuckled, the sound soft and genuine, as he silently vowed to love JeongWoo just as fiercely on the days he couldn't love himself.

"Six weeks," Junkyu murmured, a wistful note in his voice. "Only six weeks before I have to stay in the hospital."
