minho decided to retreat to his dorm room, growing tired of lounging in the lobby and seeking refuge from the slight chill brought on by the heavy downpour. as he entered the dorm, he immediately spotted his roommate seated on the couch. jisung, quick to notice the arrival of another presence, stood up and greeted minho with a warm smile that dispelled any lingering coldness from the rainy weather that had permeated the atmosphere.
"hey, you're back," jisung said, now standing in front of the older.
minho couldn't help but feel a surge of admiration at the sight before him. jisung had shed his formal blazer, leaving him in a pristine white button-up shirt adorned with a scale-shaped brooch that signaled his status as a law student. he also wore chain accessories, and his sleeves were rolled up, revealing veiny arms adorned with chain bracelets. his slightly tousled hair softened his appearance, a striking contrast to the aura he exuded.
however, there was something else that caught minho's attention. faded scars littered along jisung's arm, prompting minho to recall the moment when he had discovered razor blades in the bathroom.
sensing minho's momentary silence, jisung raised an eyebrow and remarked, "earth to minho?" he playfully waved his hands in front of the older.
at that, minho snapped out of his thoughts, blinking rapidly. "y-yeah?" he stammered, his focus returning to the present moment.
with minho's response, a small smile graced jisung's lips, but it quickly turned into a frown as he observed minho's slightly shivering state. "hyung, did you get caught up in the rain?" he asked, his concern evident as he studied minho's condition.
minho nodded reluctantly. "just a little bit, though. i stayed in the lobby while being slightly drenched, so now i'm kinda freezing," he admitted with a chuckle, trying to downplay the discomfort he felt. inside, he was indeed shivering like he was in a freezer set to the lowest temperature.
jisung let out a sigh and left the room, leaving minho momentarily stunned. he began to overthink, wondering why jisung had left and looking disappointed even though he hadn't done anything wrong.
however, those thoughts vanished as quickly as they had come when jisung returned with a towel in his hand. he draped the towel over minho and gently started to dry him off, particularly focusing on his slightly damp hair. "you should have returned to the dorm immediately, hyung," jisung scolded, though his tone was gentle and filled with concern.
minho stood there, his mind still processing the unexpected care from his roommate, while jisung continued to scold him and advise him to take better care of himself.
when minho finally snapped out of his daze, he made eye contact with jisung and chuckled, "you're acting like my mom," he said.
"it's because you aren't taking care of yourself," jisung replied, keeping his focus on the task at hand.
minho couldn't help but reciprocate the concern. "how about you? did the rain get to you?" he asked, looking jisung up and down.
"not entirely," jisung explained. "that's why i removed my blazer, i used it to shield myself while making my way back here."
minho hummed in acknowledgment, allowing the younger to take care of him, his thoughts drifting to the enigmatic person in front of him. he couldn't help but notice the way jisung's lips formed a small pout, his eyes filled with concern, accompanied by their usual aura of mystery.
the fabric left minho's skin, and jisung's movements came to a halt. "there," jisung said.
minho blinked rapidly once again, slightly disappointed that the pampering had come to an end. "you're done...?" he asked, his tone reflecting his unspoken desire for it to continue.
