lunchtime had arrived, and minho decided to join the group for their meal. he was uncertain about how to face jisung after the morning's events.
minho settled into their usual spot, where everyone was engaged in cheerful conversation. he retrieved the lunch he had prepared earlier from his bag and placed it on the table, drawing the attention of his friends.
"ooh, that looks good, hyung," changbin remarked, his eyes fixed on the food container filled with kimchi fried rice.
minho responded nonchalantly, "yes, and it's all mine." he had no intention of sharing his lunch, as he had prepared enough for himself only.
changbin pouted in response, and chan couldn't help but laugh beside him. while minho opened the lid of his food container, felix scooted closer to him, showing something on his phone.
"hyung, have you seen the physiology group chat?" felix asked, pointing to his phone.
minho nodded, "the one about the ghost that mingi encountered?" he clarified.
felix hummed in agreement, and then chan chimed in, "ghost? where?" he inquired.
"second-floor boys' restroom at clé hall," felix replied, handing his phone to chan so that he could read the messages in their group chat.
chan's eyebrows furrowed as he read through the messages. "i've heard ghost stories in levanter and yellow wood hall, but never clé hall. this is new," he commented.
hyunjin, engrossed in his sketchpad once more, took a casual bite of the spam musubi he had brought. "the guy was probably just hallucinating," he added absentmindedly, referring to mingi's experience.
"whatever it is, i'm never setting foot in that second-floor boys' restroom again," minho declared, shivering at the thought of having a similar horrifying encounter.
chan returned felix's phone, drawing everyone's attention by clapping his hands together. "don't forget about later this afternoon, guys," he reminded, a wide smile on his face, accentuating his visible dimple.
seungmin, engrossed in his salad and his book, interjected, "you're awfully excited about this."
chan replied, "because i want to see minho play." he clasped his hands together, resting his chin on them as he shifted his gaze to minho.
scooping up a portion of his kimchi fried rice, minho took a bite before responding to chan, "don't expect me to be any good at it."
felix playfully patted minho's back and nodded in mock understanding. "it's all right, hyung. maybe if you invite your roommate to watch you, you'll perform better?" he suggested, prompting minho to give him a gentle nudge.
"can't you guys stop mentioning him for once?" minho retorted, rolling his eyes at his friends.
"woah, did something happen between you guys?" chan asked, his eyes slightly widened.
"no."
minho's response caused everyone to look at him suspiciously. feeling their collective gaze, he relented, "okay! he might have been very forward with me this morning, and now i don't know how to face him." his cheeks blushed at the memory of their earlier encounter.
"so, you had a little gay panic," seungmin commented, his eyes still focused on his book.
felix playfully swung his arm over minho's shoulders, drawing him in closer as he ruffled minho's hair with the hand wrapped around him.
"it's okay, hyung. we support your gayness," felix teased, and several nods from their friends accompanied his words.
minho slouched in his seat, letting out a groan as everyone continued to tease him about his roommate. in the midst of the teasing, a strong wind suddenly blew through, so forceful that it turned the pages of seungmin's book, disrupted hyunjin's sketch, and tousled their hair.
