the remaining night seemed endless as jisung remained confined to his room, a heavy air of tension lingering between him and minho. this left minho's heart burdened with a mix of anxiety and guilt, his mind racing to understand what he might have done to upset the younger.

desperate to mend the invisible barrier that had formed, minho attempted to reach out to jisung. knocking on the younger's door, he was met with a curt "i'm busy," leaving him no choice but to retreat to his room with a heavy heart. alone in the dim glow of his bedside lamp, minho lay on his bed, wide awake, his eyes fixated on the ceiling as swirling thoughts continued to consume him.

the memory of jisung's tight embrace haunted minho's mind. their faces inches apart, only for jisung to pull away with a fear-stricken expression etched across his features. the room was filled with the echo of the rustling bed as minho turned to his side, allowing his gaze to wander in the dimly lit space. each thought about jisung weighed heavily on his heart, and the room felt suffocating.

as minho contemplated the events of the evening, his mind raced, and the heaviness in his chest refused to subside. the room became a silent witness to the turmoil within him. eventually, exhaustion overcame minho as he lay there, still consumed by thoughts of jisung, drifting into a restless sleep.

-----

the morning arrived with the rhythmic tapping of rain against the window, stirring minho from his slumber. as he reluctantly opened his eyes, he instinctively pulled his blanket closer, cocooning himself in its warmth. the gloomy ambiance of the morning added to the chill in his room.

feeling the temptation of drowsiness, minho fought to keep his eyes open. school awaited, and he couldn't afford to be late. slowly unwrapping himself from the blanket, he stood up, shivering in the cold room. determined, he made his way to the door, thoughts of his roommate, jisung, flooding his mind.

hovering over the doorknob, minho hesitated. uncertainty lingered, but hope fueled his anticipation. he yearned for the comforting sight of jisung, perhaps with the aroma of coffee and a warm "good morning" to dispel the lingering heaviness.

with cautious optimism, minho turned the knob, peeking his head out as the door opened ajar. his eyes scanned the room for any sign of his roommate. finding none, he pushed the door open completely, stepping out with a slouched posture and slow steps. the kitchen beckoned, promising solace in the form of a brewed cup of coffee for this dreary morning.

as the coffee brewed, minho's thoughts returned to jisung. standing in front of his roommate's room, hands tucked into his pockets, he fidgeted with his fingers, debating whether to knock. the uncertainty hung in the air, mirroring the weather outside.

determined to seek answers, minho withdrew his hand from his pockets, forming a fist as it slowly approached the door. "here goes nothing," he mumbled, puffing out his cheeks before releasing a deep breath.

his knuckles gently collided with the door, producing a soft sound that echoed through the room. "jisung?" minho called out, his voice carrying a hint of nervousness that he couldn't conceal.

after a few knocks, he decided to change his approach, calling for his roommate instead. "jisung? are you okay? you haven't left since last night..." minho's words trailed off, his gaze lowering as a pang of discomfort settled in his chest. unbeknownst to him, his eyes had moistened, the intensity of his anxiety becoming evident. "if i did something to make you uncomfortable last night, then i'm sorry... but please, don't ignore me," he added, determination in his eyes as they lifted once more to the door.

minho waited in anticipation for some sign of life from within the room, but none came. with a heavy sigh, he turned away from the door, his eyes glossy and his breathing weighed down by the restlessness in his heart and mind.
