his mahogany curly locks gently swayed in the soft breeze, while his doe-like eyes held an innocent and gentle gaze as he looked at the person in front of him.
"minho?" his voice barely rose above a whisper, tinged with confusion and a hint of longing.
"jisung?" the other person replied, his eyes sparkling with delight at the sight of the male before him.
jisung took slow, deliberate steps as he approached minho, who stood beside the railings. his footfalls were light, yet the sound of his dress shoes touching the ground accompanied each step.
now standing face to face with minho, jisung furrowed his brows slightly and asked, "what are you doing here?"
"i saw you at the cafeteria earlier and decided to follow you," minho replied, squinting his eyes slightly to prevent his hair from getting into his eyes due to the strong gusts of wind.
jisung nodded in acknowledgment at minho's response. he leaned against the railings, breathing in the scent of impending rain, wet soil, and foliage.
minho observed jisung as he immersed himself in the moment, his gaze fixed on how jisung relished the cool breeze that caressed his fair and flawless skin, tousling his mahogany curly hair in every direction.
the older was left in awe of the sight before him. it was a simple act of jisung enjoying the breeze, yet he appeared ethereal while doing so.
shaking himself from his contemplations, minho recalled why he had sought out jisung. he positioned himself beside the younger and said, "jisung, let's talk," his voice gentle but tinged with nervousness.
jisung shifted his gaze towards minho, releasing a deep sigh before responding, "let's have our conversation in the dorm later, hyung," he said, redirecting his attention ahead.
minho was completely caught off guard by jisung's reply, utterly surprised by it. he couldn't have anticipated such a response. his eyes remained fixed on the younger beside him, his mouth slightly ajar, as he struggled to find the words he wanted to say. instead, he merely let his gaze linger on jisung's profile.
jisung possessed a striking side view. his soft, round cheeks contrasted with his sharp jawline, his ears adorned with numerous earrings, and his glossy eyes reflecting the scenery before him.
in response, minho followed jisung's line of sight, quietly murmuring, "alright." whenever he was with jisung, he couldn't help but feel younger. jisung exuded maturity and formality most of the time, leaving minho feeling somewhat self-conscious about his own demeanor, as if he were too childlike in comparison to jisung.
that's why earlier, when he met jeongin, he had been pleased, as the younger's behavior made minho feel like the older, someone whom jeongin could depend on. in jisung's case, it often seemed as if minho could rely more on the younger than the other way around. that's how mature jisung appeared in minho's eyes.
a voice interrupted minho's thoughts, snapping him back to reality. jisung softly asked, "what are you thinking about?" his gaze was fixed on minho.
minho's breath caught at the intense yet gentle look in jisung's eyes. minho frequently found himself getting lost in those captivating orbs.
minho then shook his head and replied, "it's nothing, just how i left my half-eaten pudding in the cafeteria." he chuckled, realizing that he had not only left his pudding behind but also his friends.
"do you want to go back?" jisung asked minho, noticing the light in his eyes slightly dimming and his lips turning downward, a sign that he was preoccupied with something.
