I set down my suite case on the bed of the rental house. The two story house in the heart of Berlin, was very accommodating, with large bedrooms and updated eminities it was a good start to 'vacation'.
"Roy and i are going out to shop" Elise said coming up to my room "do you want to go with?"
I was unloading my bag into the dresser drawer when she came in, getting unpacked for the unforeseeable future. I closed the old wood dresser with a lions head carved into the handle.
"Sure" I said getting up from the ground and dusting off my knees. "Where we going?"
A smile danced on her lips as she skipped to the front door, her foot steps not making any sound as she went. Vampires were amazing. Even small details were starting to shout out at me, my instincts screamed that they were different. They were ethereal.
"Were going to get you humans some food." She said happily.
"When's Michel getting our new identities?" I asked
"I wouldn't worry about that." She said "but he should be back by today."
"After he gets them are we leaving again?" I asked
"Yes." She said "we need zero paper trail leading to us. But for today let's enjoy the views."
We drove down paved roads, brick walkways along the roads, there were pedestrians walking about in great numbers. People running from one building to the next, the city was bustling with activity.
"Such a beautiful city" I breathed
"The older parts are truly a wonder" Elise agreed.
We drove by a white and blue castle, it's tall dome spiked roof tops spectacular, it sat on the edge of a river bed we drove beside. I sat in the back, my hand on the window as I peered at the castle we slowly drove by. Something out of a fairy tell its ornate blue touches brought out its beauty.
"We need to find some shopping" Elise said
"I'll pull up maps" Roy said pulling out his phone.
With a shopping area in mind we now drove around with a purpose. Weaving between street we came up to our location within a span of a few minutes. I shuffled in the car as I prepared to get out. As soon as Elise put the car in park I bolted out, ready to walk.
"Someone's peaky" Elise said as her and Roy got out more slowly.
"I'm ready to go" I said excited
We walked down the brick walkways, past other pedestrians, the streets were still lively as the sun died down.
"So vampires really can't be in sunlight" I said casually.
"Nope" Elise said "instant death"
"That sucks" I said
"You can always find a lively night I find." She says with a smile.
In the produce isle me and Roy picked out a few items, deciding on taking turns making meals, I warned him of my bad cooking. He guaranteed me it couldn't be worse then elises, she grunted saying there's no need to learn when you drink blood. Checking out we walk back down the walkway to go home.
"I want you to be gentle with michel" Elise said "he's still pretty... broken from your last life."
"Maybe we can fix eachothers broken peices. If my souldmate can't fix mine then I don't know who can." I said
Elise nodded her head slowly, thinking of her next answer. It was an awkward conversation, but I could feel her love for her brother through her words. I respected that, would honor that.
"Just because your souldmates doesn't mean you'll be perfect for eachother. Michel is just shackled from the bond. You have no idea what it feels like. That need." Elise said
"Just like how your shackled." I said a little deffinsavly, her wording sticking a cord with me.
"It's true." She said "I was lucky with roy."
We were silent then for a long moment. Still walking to the car, with Roy walking in front of us. I decided to break the silence not able to stand it any longer.
"You love your brother" I breathed
"I do" She agreed

I knew where I was going. My contact lives in an upstart apartment in the heart of the city. Walking down the walkway in the black of the night hands in my jacket pocket, I make my way. Coming up to the apartment building the bell man let's me in.
"Hello?" Rouise says
"I'm here" I say walking through the open and spacious loby.
"I have all the documents ready. It'll be extra for a rush job." Rouise says
"You know that's not an issue" I say already in the elevator.
"The boss wants to see you." Rouise added hesitantly. He knew I didn't have time.
"I went through you so I wouldn't have to see him." I say angrily.
"Look. I know I know. But Adam also requested new identities. The boss is scared." Rouise said
"Tell your boss it's just the same drama." I answer and hang up. Already almost to rouises door.
Why did Adam contact rouise? Just as I started to ponder this my phone starts ringing. It was Adam.
"What do you want?" I snarled standing outside rouises apartment door now, the gold and red decor grating my eyes. I stepped off to the side, not wanting to have this conversation with an audiance.
"Look. Elise told me what's happening." He began "and I want to be with my brother if shit hits the fan."
Damm Elise. She probably wanted to warn him.
"After the shit you pulled with Cassie I don't want you anywhere near me." I snarled
"I did what I thought I had to too protect you! But after that night, I cleared my head,  I went to migel and he showed me his impression of her mind. You were right, she's different." He said "though she's still trouble" He added
I snarled into my phone again. My vampire nature coming out.
Kill him before he kills our mate the deity spoke
I closed my eyes at the demons words. The last thing I needed was him interjecting. I smoothed out my jacket, going over what Adam just said.
"How can I trust you?" I asked
"I'll make a blood oath to not hurt her." Adam said
A blood oath was one of our rituals we could perform, the magic binding us to our words, breaking it meaning extreme agony that lead to death or madness. Why would Adam go so far?
"Already miss me that much?" I teased the tension gone in my body.
Yes a blood oath would completly sate my need for cassies safety. It would certainly make me feel like I had one less enemy in this world, and to be honest I could really use that. Could really use my brother.
"I need my family" Adam said, words ringing out his sincerity. 
"Fine. You already know where I'm at. I want the blood oath before your anywhere near Cassie." I said
"Already in the city" Adam responded and hung up.
My shoulders launched me off the wall I was leaning against, I was before the door in a second, my hand fell on the old wood, knocking loudly. A heart beat sounded on the other side of the door, picking up a notch at my arrival, he quickly made his way to let me in, tripping over something as he trotted toward the door.
"Rouise" I called "hurry up"
The door swung open to reveal a messy room, clothes and trash littered the floor and countertops.
"Don't you have a maid" I complained stepping over a pizza box.
"With all this illegal shit?! No." He said
"Your boss has one" I said a look of disapproval still on my face.
"Don't remind me I'm living the life of a grunt." He said
I let out a small chuckle, still moving around trash in the otherwise luxurious open apartment. Rouise made his way to the desk, littered with all kinds of papers, he fished out mine.
"Birth certificates, licenses, passports, the works." He said handing me everything. "I got two identities for each of you."
"Thanks" I said ruffling through the documents.
"The boss wants to see you" He repeated
"Get me on the phone with him." I said eye brows knitting in fustration.
"He's in the next room." Rouise said
Damn. He was the last person I wanted to see. Currently the boss of a small mafia group was the vampire Roman. I couldn't stand the prick.
"Roman" I called opening my mind to feel his presence. Indeed his was mere feet from me. I walked in his direction, past the kitchen, and down a hallway to a room with a t.v. sound on. Some of the rooms were open, reaking of sex and parties my nostrils scrunched in disgust.
I open the door wide to reveal a woman's head bobbing up and down on Roman's dick. She was completly naked while the male vampire lounged back in casual clothing, his hand on top of the girls head, guiding it up and down. I snarled.
"Do you have to have your cock out every time I see you?" I asked
"Michel!" He said shoving the girl off him and onto the floor, she cried out a little as she made contact before getting up to gather her clothes and leave, glancing up at me more then once. A shy blush coming to her cheeks.
I stare at Roman, ignoring the girl. Gods I hated this male, but he could be useful sometimes.
"A little bird told me you saw the council yesterday." He said "that they want something from your mate again."
"Same old same old" I say nonchalantly.
"I'll get to the point. What are those old fools scared about now?" He asked
"Information for information" I said
"What do you want?" He asked
"I want everything you have on the vampire Jacob. His houses and bank accounts, all his buisness."
Roman thought about it for a second, considering. He already looked suspicious.
"And why would I be looking into him?" He asked
"Because he'd building a demon army." I answered
