Save his soul the voice commanded
This life is meant to save his soul. Again it said.
I sat there staring up at the vampire who had just opened my cubby. His handsome face, eyes dilated all the way to tell me his fangs were out, he grinned a toothy grin.
"What an interesting thing the universe just whispered to you" jacob said
"How... how did you get in here?" I stammered out.
He reached for me and I tried to shuffle away but he was on me in a second, hoisting me up, like a mouse caught in a trap I was helpless against him. Wind ripped at my curls again as he ran through the side door out of the kitchen, my stomach lurched as he set me down outside in the woods.
Jacob will not harm you. He eats.... the voice cut out as I let go of the food in my stomach.
"He eats what" I asked the voice, trying to grab hold of my power.
Vampires. The voice said.
"Quit right" jacob said "I will not harm you"
He has sinned against the dark lord! Save him.... save..... Michel the voice went on.
"I see you universe guide is still as chatty as ever" jacob went on, walking around a tree, leaving me to hurl. "You might be wondering why I grabbed you"
"I'm useless!" I bellowed wiping away the mess on my face."take me back"
"Uh uh uh" He tutted "I don't want to take you anymore then you want to be taken but our fates are intertwined. Your past life made sure of it."
"Past life?! She set me up!" I complained now standing after my stomach settled.
"Indeed" He said and scooped me up one more time, I screamed as he whipped through the trees. My stomach lurching once again. He set me down right outside a jeep, opening the door, a silent command to get in. I didn't. He grabbed hold of my hand and shoved me in, falling onto the leather interior.
"I'll cut a deal with you" He said as he got into the passenger seat, a bulky vampire in the driver's side. The jeep took off. "I won't reset Michel and in exchange you'll help me."
"I can't! I'm powerless" I said
He tutted again at me. "Now cassie we both know that's not the truth. I see through your subconscious that you already know how this is going to end."
"Ow care to share" I said sarcastically
"Your going to give me what I want." He said
Go with him... save... michel.
Is this how I saved Michel? Going with this stranger man?
"I know you've wished for the vampires to be reset as well. And really what is it to you as long as your precious Michel lives?" He asked
Michel. I had wished for a new start before. A world where it was only new experiences. Where we were a fresh start without all the drama of the past weighing us down. But Michel had proven to me he could get past my past self. I didn't know what to do.
"Does it matter what I want when you'll take me anyways?" I asked sarcastically
He let out a long throaty laugh.
"Indeed it doesnt" He said "You not only are going to help me reset the vampires. You'll find my mate for me." He said "After we find her you can leave"
"Why can't you find her? Aren't you supposed to be drawn to her?" I asked
Not wishing any woman on this psychotic man. But again what choice did I have?
She's the key to his insanity. Find the bird and let him devower her.
"It's my punishment." He said sadly "for eating my own kind"
"Satan have a cruel streak?" I asked
He let out a manic laugh. "You have no idea" He said
The jeep drove on through the woods.
"Where is she?" I asked my power, holding it so tight it felt tangible.
Chicago
"There she's in Chicago. Now let me go" I said "I helped now don't reset michel"
Jacob let out another chuckle. "Not that easy little bird. I need more then that."
"Where are you taking me?" I asked
"To my estate" He said "don't worry it's no where private. I'm expecting guests."
"You mean michel" I said
"Yes" he said "he won't be able to resist my catch"
We drove on out of the forest and down the road, the way opening up to a private airport. How many airports would I go through now? I might as well live on a plane. Was this why I was trouble? Was Adam right to warn michel away from me? I didn't know how my life had turned into such a mess.
"Anither plane." I said wearily
"Another life" jacob said
I grunted in agreement, but I had to trust in my past life. She wouldn't have set me on this path if it wasn't important.
Save him.
I would try.

She was missing. Cassie wasn't in her hiding spot, her scent faint outside the cubbord I followed it out to the woods. Vomit lay at my feet, her scent growing heavier and musky with fear. The scent of an unfamiliar vampire with her.
"It's jacob" said Adam "He took her"
"Call him!" I demanded
Adam was on his phone in a second, the ring going to voice mail. He pocketed the device.
"No luck" Adam said
"Where would he take her?" I asked
"I have an idea." He said and ran back out to the limo, I stood and stared at the spot cassie was just at.
"Fuck!" I yelled
