"What are you doing?" Adam asked me
Papers were sprawled everywhere on my desk, I pushed them all off, the papers scattering and falling to the ground. I was on him in a second.
"You know" I said "You know jacob"
He went completly still, the air being sucked out of the room. Adam took a steadying breath, under the weight of my fist holding him to the wall.
"How do you know that?" Adam asked
"Something kept popping out at me. Jacob's properties, you share a home with him." I said pushing his frame farther until I heard a popping sound from the house. "you took me there before"
Adam swallowed once.
"It's not what it seems. That was a long time ago." He pleaded "I haven't spoken to him sense his whole crazy reset idea."
"Call him" I ground out "call him and tell him cassies useless."
"Alright alright" Adam said putting his hands up.
I let him go, Adam landing effortlessly on the ground, he reached for his phone in his pocket, stepping over the papers I just littered on the ground. The phone ringed for only a second before a male voice answered.
"Hello" jacob said
"Hey jacob" Adam said
"How unexpected of you to call sense our little insident." Jacob said
"I don't want to be talking to you" Adam ground out "but I need to warn you to stay away from michels mate."
The line was silent for awhile.
"I heard she's useless. What I need is more soldiers for my army." Jacob said
"And like I told you, you can go to hell" Adam said hanging up the phone.
He tossed it onto the desk, the phone landing beside me.
"Check it if you want to. My past conversations are in there telling that prick to go to hell. Just like I just did."
I nodded slowly picking up the phone and ruffling through it, Adam's conversation with jacob already proving to me he wasn't on his side, the messages I found furthering my belief.
"Your good" I said throwing the phone back, at Adam. He caught it and pocketed it into his loose fitted sweatpants.
I walked to the window, looking out and turning my back to Adam.
"You still shouldn't have told me. I shouldn't have had to find out like a rat!" I yelled turning my head back to him "all this time worrying about him when you could have just called him."
My body turns again and I lean on my chair, the wood holding me back from ripping my hands into Adam.
"But you wanted him to kidnap Cassie. Admit it! You wanted her gone." I yelled
"Fine what ever. That witch needs to go." Adam said
I laugh out loud, my dark chuckle reverting around the room.
"Still can't except the fact that she's ordinary. How long are you going to hold onto this adam!?" My voice is pleading now.
"Never" He said "but I swore to you I won't touch her. I won't interfere with her. That should be enough!" Adam yelled back.
"It's not Adam. I need you on my side. You need to see now that she's not the one hurting me you are." I said
Adam's face looked distraught at that. Like he couldn't believe what I had just said.
"You don't mean that" He said "I'm not the bad guy she is!"
"No Adam not this time" I said.
Adam turned and rushed to the door, leaving the room and me behind. My hands went to my hair and I screamed for all the world to hear. The hurt and betrayal I fresh knife in my guts. I thought Adam was past this, that he saw Cassie as different when he left that night, no longer hell bent on killing her, but this proved other wise. I grabbed my desk and threw it across the room.
"Damn it!" I yelled
I needed to calm down, I needed Cassie.
"Tell me something completly ordinary" I call in her mind.
"The hash tag symbol is technically called an octothorpe." Cassie called
My eye brows raised, and a smile danced on my lips.
"And how on earth do you know that?" I asked
"I enjoy fun facts" She said
I let out a small chuckle.
"Then here I got one for you. The hundred folds in a chefs hat represent a hundred ways to cook an egg." I replied telepathically.
"Oowww good one. Now I want breakfast." She said. I chuckled again.
"Humans are always eating." I complained at her.
"Did you have a bad day?" She asked me suddenly
"The worst" I admitted
"Wanna talk about it?" She asked me
"Just more drama with Adam. I think it's settled though." I said
"That's good. Little spats are normal I wouldn't let it get you down." She called
"Thanks" I answered back.
"Ready to pick me up for the games?" She asked me.
"Be there in a second" I replied.

I stood at the counter of the gas station. Grabbing hold of that tendril of power I asked the voice.
"Whats the winning lottery number?" I asked mentally.
11 34 79 65 43 25
I smiled to myself asking the cashier for the numbers I waited hand outstretched to receive my winning ticket. It was a lottery
For a few million dollars.
"Lucky numbers?" He asked me
"The luckiest" I replied
I pocketed the ticket, now all I had to do was wait to win. Leaving the gas station I quickly make it out to my car, and back home. During the drive I could feel the ticket burning a hole in my pocket. Was it bad to cheat or did I deserve this? I wasn't sure but I knew I'd cash the ticket. Not having scruples to better my life. Walking up the stair I threw my keys down and went to pick out my clothes for the evening. I'd be watching the vampires play baseball in the woods, excitement turned in my guts.
A knock came at the door some time later. I was checking myself out in my full length mirror, double checking my jeans and jersey looked OK, I knew I wouldn't be playing but I dressed for comfort and mobility.
"Coming" I called looking myself over just one more time, before slipping back on my tennis shoes.
Michel greeted me from the other side, his dashing smile radiating,  and a box in his hands. I stepped back letting him inside my tinny apartment, his eyes went to the clutter, and I blushed.
"Your a little messy" He said
"Is that bad?" I asked
His smile grew, as he walked over to take a seat on my bed, placing the box down on it.
"Whats that?" I asked
"A present for the vampire ball next week. I thought you'd need a new wardrobe." He said
I walked over and hesitantly picked up the fine white box, untying the tool ribbon, gasping from the contents. It was a black lace gown, with tool finishes overdrapping the sleak material. I held up the dress and placed it over my own onsomble, looking in the full length mirror. It was gorgeous.
"I couldnt" I said
"You can" He said with a smile.
"Thank you" I breathed
"You'll win the lottery tomorrow" He said "consider it a congratulatory gift."
"I don't really know if that deserves a congratulations but thank you" I said
Michel got up from the bed then, and ran to the door and opened it, holding it aloft for me.
"After you" He said
We drove for hours, down the highway out of the city and sleeping towns until there were no lights or building visible from the car. Elise and Roy were in the back seat, happily chatting away.
"The others will meet us there" Michel said still driving down the winding streets.
We came up on a small parking space, Adam's familiar bike parked on the side, and an unfamiliar vehicle I assumed was Truman and migels.
Michel held out his arms in front of him, and i lifted an eye brow in confusion. I looked behind me and Roy was already jumping on elises back.
"I have to carry you" He said "it's far back into the woods"
"Running?" I asked having seen them run my stomach turned over a bit. Remembering how fast they flew.
"You won't hit a tree will you?" I asked nervously.
Michel let out a laugh, his hands now going to his mouth, as he walked the rest of the way over to me.
"No I won't hit a tree. I have precious cargo" He said with a smile.
I decided to trust him, putting my arms around his neck, he hoisted me up princess style.
"I hope you have a strong stomach" He said as he took off into the woods.
One minute we were still and the next we were flying, michel dodging trees as he flew through the forest. I shut my eyes quickly, the wind wiping at them stinging. My stomach lurched as the motion of tumbling through a wind storm hit me. Thankfully it was over the second it seemed to begin. My stomach realed, I shoved away from Michel, dropping to the ground, I vomited.
Michel quickly and gently pulled back my hair as I heaved out my dinner onto the ground. Wiping away at my face on my shirt. Michel gently lifted my shaking body, and placed me on my feet. Head swimming I swayed a bit. Michel grabbed my hand after I settled some, leading me back into the trees away from the group.
"Here" He said tugging off his shirt and handing it to me "the first times rough for everyone"
I tugged off my own jersey and quickly dawned his oversized one. Michek looked me up and down as I changed and I felt a blush creepy to my cheeks.
"Ready?" He asked
"Ready" I said and I took my hand in his and we walked back to the clearing.
