I sat there on a beach chair overlooking the ocean. Comfortable in a short sleeve shirt and shorts, sun glasses hanging off my nose, i soaked up the sun. Myself and Roy decided to wake up in the middle of the day to do day time activities together, leaving the vampires behind. Roy walked over to me with Coronas in hand.
"Such a lovely day today." He said
"Thanks for waking up with me" I said taking one of the drinks.
There was music playing from one of the other beach bums. The hit music lifting the spirits of the otherwise serene beach. I listened intently, the crashing waves and seaguls mellowing out some of the tune. I kicked my feet in the water, from my chair.
"Anytime. It's been a minutes sense I've seen the ocean" He admitted
"It's been ages for me. Couldn't afford it." I said a tad embarrassed.
"Well you won't have to worry about that now" He said
"Not for the foreseeable future" I admitted and we cheered.
"I'm sorry you had to come along though because of me. I'm sure you left behind friends." I said
"In the presut of new ones" He said with a smile.
That was true. These people were already starting to feel like friends. All except Adam. His contempt for me was still evident in his behaivor, going so far as to completly ignore me when I tried to speak to him yesterday. I didn't mind so much however, the man did try to kill me. Still it grated on my nerves, to be judged for something or someone I wasnt. After we finished our drinks we headed back inside the beach house. Ready to cook a meal together for breakfast.
"Hand me the tomatoes" Roy said already beating the eggs.
Roy sang a happy tune while he cooked, reminding me of Aaron. I wondered what my husband was up to today. If he was going about his job like normal, seeing Emily. Jealousy and rage coursed through me at the thought before I stopped myself. Here I was with a new man, why couldn't Aaron be happy now?
"That's a good way of thinking" Michel said into my mind
"Quit reading my thoughts and go back to your coffin" I teased
"You know im not sleeping in a coffin right now" he said with a cuckle "and no. Not until we're safe." He said
I huffed, not really angry. I knew he'd quit if I was serious.
"Of course" He said mentally
My arms went up in exasperation, and Roy laughed while cutting up the tomatoes.
"Talking to michel?" He asked
"Does it annoying you when they answer your thoughts?" I asked
Roy thought for a moment before he replied.
"You'll get used to it. At first it bothered me too but now it just feels convenient." He said
"Take a nap when your done eating. I have plans for tonight." Michel said telepathically.
"Ow?" I asked
"Happy plans" He said
A smile graced my mouth at the thought. I'd been dying for a night out with just the two of us alone. I went back to my own task, peeling potatoes as I hummed along to Roy's happy tune.

"So where are we going?" I asked Michel, now in the car and ready to set off.
"You said you wanted to go on a boat" He said with a chuckle.
"I did" I agreed
"Well your wish is my command" He said
Driving up to the docks, I peered at the rows of boats hidden under the metal canopies. The lights dimly lighting the outskirts of the great void of the ocean. It's black horizon engulfing and swallowing up the light. Pinching my nose, it reaked of fish, I rolled back up my window. Michel let out a soft chuckle then.
"Imagine how it smells to me." He said driving up now to the parking space.
Walking down the docks, we met the owner of the boat we were renting, his figure coming into veiw halfway down the wooden walkway, his yellow fishers jacket standing out in the sea of bland colors.
"I don't usually do this at night" He huffed, his Grey beard swaying with the movement of his jaw.
"We appriciate it" Michel said
"Treat her kindly" He said handing over the keys with a firm handshake.
"You have no need to worry. I've sailed in my days." Michel said letting go of the man hands now.
The older gentleman nodded and went about his way, me and Michel doing the same, standing in front of the boat. The boat was called 'effinity' it's smooth white surface gleaming from the light of the moon. Indeed it was a smaller boat, it's cabin quiant, it barely fit a single twin bed and booth seating to the side. There was a basket with foods on the counter, and i marveled at michels details, taking into consideration my needs. Michel started her up after viewing the cabin with me, backing her up into the sea, she slowly left the docking area.
"How far are we going out?" I asked
"Far enough to see the stars" He replied.
My body tensed with anticipation, I had always wanted to see stars. Only ever seeing pictures on my phone and computer I happily anticipated the experiance.
"How romantic" I tease
"Just wait. It's always an experiance the first time." He said
"How many stary nights have you shown me?" I ask
How many life times have we spent together?
"You used to see the stary night every night. In our quaint house in the woods. That was a good life." He said reminiscing
The waves splashed the boat, rocking a tussling it. Nothing to guide us but the moon and stars we drove on into the void, the lights of the city disappearing as we went. I feared we were lost, asking Michel if he was sure he knew what he was doing, but he only chuckled reassuring me he'd chartered the sea many times. In many life spans.
"That should be far enough" He said finally and he turned off the boat, the lights dimming until they vanished.
All ended and all began at the same time. The lights and the galaxies opening up for me, I felt large and small at the same time. A gasp escaped my lips, the wholeness and the void of the moment opening up my soul. No words to explain its magnificent presence on my very being. Trinkling lights that engulfed our small boat, I peered up in wonder. So many stars, I had no idea just how many stars there were peering down at us, shining there light that was almost never seen. I swiveled my head, looking up I tried to drink it all in, become engulfed in its majesty. Michel smiled at me, coming around to place a gentle arm around my sitting frame.
"Its..... beutiful" I breathed
He looked up then, looking at the same beautiful night as me, and I wondered if it touched him the same way. If he was feeling what I was feeling. Like a single grain of sand in the great void of the universe, ready and eager to be plucked up by the mighty hands of the cosmos.
"It calls to your soul" He whispered
"What?" I asked
"The universe. It's power. It's always been a part of you." He said
"I feel it now" I said
He nodded his head, leaning it to the side as he thought. My stomach grumbled then, and he let out a small chuckle.
"Time to feed the human" He said
"Your not hungry are you?" I asked gingerly.
His eyes brows knitted in concern, his arm tightening around my shoulders. We sat in silence for a moment, until he looked back up at the stars. The light reflecting off his alabaster skin, almost making it seem like he was glowing in the light of the night.
"You don't have to if your not ready" He said
"I'm ready" I said, my hands fiddling with eachother.
He looked down at me, eyes piercing my face that refused to meet his gaze. I turned then, after a moment and his eyes were already dilated.
"You sure?" He asked
"Yes" I breathed
"Can I kiss you first?" He asked his gaze lowering to my mouth.
"Yes" the words came out raspy, barely getting past my lips.
His arm around my shoulder moved, his hand gently moving my head towards him, he lowered his face to mine. He took in several lung fulls of my scent, tickling my skin with the tip of his nose, before his mouth came around to mine. I saw stars again as electricity shot down through my body. Our skin barely touching as he he brushed his lips against mine. I pressed my head up, wanting to devour his mouth, my greedy intentions known. He returned my kiss, his hunger growing as mine did, and again electricity shot through me, lighting up every nerve. How could a kiss do this to me? His lips were impossibly soft, his full mouth engulfing my own as it greedily devoured mine. His tongue snaked in my mouth, my own rising up to meet his for a heart beat. He pulled away then, breaking my trance.
"I think that's enough for you" He said
And my bleary mind could barely register his words, my eyes flicking down back to his mouth. I wanted more. He let out a small chuckle.
"Ow no. I plan to take things slow with you" He said smile plastered on that damndable perfect mouth. Slow? We were both adults what was the point of going slow?
"Cassie." He said peering into my eyes, my own raised to meet his. "Slow"
This was all his fault. If he hadn't waited to take me we could have had several years together in a normal setting, instead of being on the run. Now all I wanted was to devour him. His expression changed to one of sorrow, his smile turning to a frown.
"I'm so, so sorry my love. It was that stupid promise." He said His other hand moving to his face, he rubbed at it. "I should have never listened to you. But you were adamant. Wouldn't leave me alone until I promised."
"Well I wish you hadnt" I scollded.
"I know. I wish the same, but in that moment I caved. I knew I needed a break. A break from your madness. Your always reborn quickly." He said apology in his voice, his need for me to understand pulling at my ribs.
"Ok" I said "slow"
Michel laid out my dinner on the little table, setting out the sandwiches and wine, I dined while he watched me, peering down from his comfy place holding me. I layed back in his arms while I stuffed my face with food, the earlier conversation dying out.
"Are you going to bite me?" I asked in between mouth fulls.
"Hmm" he said "im not sure I want you high on the journey back."
"I may get sea sick" I admitted
"We can wait until we get home" He concluded.
"Tell me more about yourself" I said
"What do you want to know?" He asked
"Where were you born?" I asked, the random question popping up in my mind.
"Vampires aren't born" He let out a small chuckle "we wake up in fresh corpses"
I choked on my food at the sudden declaration, the food going down my wind pipe I gaged. Michel looked down at me concerned, until he gently rubbed at my back as I hacked.
"Vampires are demon souls, bound to corpses with our deities as guides." He said
"So my soulmates a demon soul" I choked out
"I already told you were of the demon race" he said defensively
"Yeah but I didn't think your soul was a demon" I said
He laid back, placing his arms back around me as I settled, no longer choking on my food.
"Why do demon souls have human soul mates?" I asked bewildered
"The dark lord made it so. As our salvation and as our weakness." He said
"To quench your unending thirst." I said
"A gift" He agreed
"So you have any memories of he'll? Of the body you possess?" I asked
"All of our memories are collected after we wake up. But our deities hold some memories." He said "vague ones"
"Of hell?" I asked curiously
"Of who we are. Our nature" He said "it's more like a guide but it's a part of us." He said.
"So how do you know all this?" I asked
"Our deities can communicate with hell" He said "our power comes from hell"
"That's enough talk of hell for one evening" I said the bread in my mouth growing stale.
"Any more questions?" He asked
"Not if they lead back to hell talk" I said
He let out a small chuckle then.
"Ok let's get you back home." He said
Home. I wanted to tell him this little beach house wasn't my home, but the words stuck in my mouth. Would I ever get to go back home? Michel suddenly felt more alien. His soul not even being human. Why did the dark gods bind me to this man for all of eternity?
"How does your soul pick a host body?" I asked
"I don't know." He admitted
"My guess is on looks. Your all too gorgeous." I snicker
He let's out a long laugh.
"That is deffinatly not it cassie" He teases
I shrug my shoulders.
After I finished my meal Michel fired back up the boat, sailing it back to shore. I sat in the back, letting the wind rip at my hair, I watched the waves go by, leaning my arm down to feel it's cool waters from time to time. Michel really was a sailer, singing softly a sailers song as he stared the boat I clapped and stomped my feet along, a happy smile to my face, giving out a little wooh when he was done. Being with michel was always fun, and easy. He parked the boat back in that little spot and we found the sailer waiting for us, at the docks. Michel handing back the keys to the old man, he thanked us and went back on his way in the opposite direction as us.
"That was nive" I admitted
"There will be more wonders ahead." Michel promised as we got into the car.
"Are you ready?" Michel asked me now back at the house.
I pushed my shirt down, exposing my neck for him, a shiver running down my spine. He took a few steps closer to me before getting down on his knees, the door to my room shut and locked.
"I'm a little scared" I admitted
"I'll be gentle" He promised me
"Just do it" I said
His eyes dilated to there full size, the iris completly gone, he opened his mouth wide to reveal those two fangs before closing it again, he lowered his head slowly, placing gentle kisses on my neck and down to my shoulder. My body started to heat up and I let out a gentle moan, then he bit, fast and gentle at the same time. I yelped out at the sharp slicing feeling, before waves of euphoria hit my mind. I let out a long deep throated moan, my mind swimming with bliss, my core heating up, I lad back and he followed me still drinking, he was straddled on top of me. I bucked my hips instinctually, and he rocked his back into mine, pinning my rithing form down.
I wanted more bliss, I wanted to be filled with its sweet seduction. I wanted him.
"Not today love" He said into my mind but I bucked again rubbing my clothes along his hard member. He pinned me down harder, pushing his weight into me. He let go then, his mouth coming free of my neck he locked the wound sweetly.
"Our first time isn't going to be you riding a venom high. It'll be you riding my cock first" He growled into my head, his own sexual fustration coming out. My insides squeezed at the emptiness at his words.
"Ok" I replied
