MAYAS POV

"Riley, why is Josh hanging around those morons?"

"Because maybe he is one of those morons, Maya. How much do you really know about Josh anyways? I adore him but come on... we both know he is THAT guy. The guy who is in with the popular crowd without even having to apply for it. He's one of those naturally cool guys." Riley smiled wide and reached out for my shoulder.

"The one who gets all of the girls?'" My eyes drifted towards my pure white converse.

"The one who gets the BEST girl." Riley flung her big brown eyes towards me like a dart.

I'm not the best girl though. I was one of those dirty old pieces in scrapyards or yard sales. Nobody seemed to have a purpose for me, I was worthless at its finest. I knew that, but I also knew that Josh didn't seem to unveil that truth yet. He was a little slow at uncovering the girl I was in the face of other. I know he is the rare brand of male that doesn't care about any of that superficial bullshit but can't wrap my head around dragging him down. I couldn't anchor him to the shore when he wants to travel the sea. He is beyond me.

"Maya?" Josh strutted towards me and disturbed my chain of thoughts.

"What?" I asked softly, still drowned in my previous realization of this boy.

"Where are you right now?"

Honestly, I was consumed in the idea that I wasn't good enough for you. The idea that you would soon conclude yourself.

"Just happy you're here."

He looked down at me with his loving orbs of mahogany and I felt our magnetic force swipe my mind.

"Me too." He shot me that sexy, devious smile that should be illegal.

"You need to stop doing that." I raised my eyebrows.

"Doing what?" He grinned again, making me lose it.

"No more grinning, it kills me." I looked him dead in the eyes.

He grinned even wider, revealing his ghostly white, aligned teeth and his ocean deep dimples.

"Setting rules, huh? Well then I guess you need to stop being you. Because it drives me insane." He winked

My cheeks colored themselves a rosy pink and I looked down at my feet.

"You're the cutest when you're shy." He raised my chin so that I was gazing upwards at his pretty face.

The bell rang disrupting our moment of peace, the moment we were each other's. Now he was off to some class where he'll meet girls his age. Girls that aren't so shy and limited. Girls that had the ability to sweep him away from me with their polished good looks and wider range of vocabulary.

His plump pink lips crashed into my cheek and he walked away, out of my grasp.

"Boy toy isn't walking you to class?" Logan sneaked up beside me.

"Go away." I stated without looking him in the eyes.

I felt his award worthy arms coil themselves around my dainty shoulders and my heart sped up.

"Go bug someone else." I smiled in a fake manner.

"Aren't you just the cutest thing!" He poked my nose lightly and anger stirred up inside of me.

I lightly pushed his muscular arms off of me and escaped into class.

JOSHS POV

Logan marched in with a smirk and a mysterious redhead attached to his hip. He shook his head towards me and bravely sat down in front of me.
"Hey bud." He turned around and raised his eyebrows.
