JOSHS POV
Yesterday hasn't left my mind, it was the worst and best day in a while. The visions of Maya slapping me across the face as I kissed her sweet lips left me feeling like I was under water gasping for air. She was the only one that had the power to pull me up but she pushed me back down again. That kiss, that kiss made me feel things that I didn't know were humanly possible. It was soft, gentle, and sweet. Her lips tasted like strawberries and all of a sudden, that became my favorite food. The kiss made my insides rattle and shake with excitement and nerves. I felt on the edge of every emotion but she tied me back into her luscious lips. But then it ended, and her little hand glided across my face. Did she not want me to kiss her? I swear she kissed back.
I grabbed my light bag and headed towards school to confront the angelic demon. As soon as I arrived I saw her propped up against a locker talking to farkle,Lucas, and Riley. I wanted to slither over to her but I couldn't, not now. She looked so beautiful today, I mean she always looks beautiful but sometimes I wish I could stop and admire it more. That sounds creepy but I don't get to see her as much anymore and I miss her bubbly smile, her cute dimples, and the way her eyes crinkle when she laughs. I miss her bright blue eyes hypnotizing me and I miss playing with her long, soft blond hair. I miss holding her little hand in mine and giving her piggy back rides. I miss her annoying tendency to not trust anybody unless she feels they're troubled. I miss her sarcastic ways that throw me off downturns.I miss pealing back her layers and discovering little things about her like how talented she is at singing and how she can slap pretty hard. Maya's a fighter and she's passionate about everything she puts herself into. I miss that and I miss her.

I strutted towards my next class when I spotted Logan and his posse around the corner. I started to turn when I heard her name, the name that made my heart drop and my stomach swirl.
"So did you ask Maya yet?" Jess asked.
"Yes, I asked her yesterday. She showed up at my house" Logan smirked.
"Really? I doubt you'll go though with it but hey if you do I'll give you a thousand dollars" he shook his finger in the air attempting to look all high and powerful, but he only appeared stupid.
"There's no way you're getting little Maya in bed with you. She has more trust issues than those dogs at the pound".
My blood boiled and my hands formed balls. I took deep breaths and tried to talk myself through not ripping his head off.
"She is super hot though my friend and she's got a great body and it would piss that Josh kid off. That's a plus" some mysterious  brunette kid spoke up.
I focused on Maya, my anchor, and soon enough my fists loosened and my breathing stabilized. I need to tell her she can't go to prom with that jerk. I dashed over to where she was gracefully leaned up against the lockers with this angel aura surrounding her. I marched over to them and everybody's eyes were locked on me.
"Maya, can we speak?"
She looked up into my eyes and simply shook her head to signal no.
"It's really important" I looked at her in a way she would know I needed her.
She pushed herself off the locker and strolled with me down the halls.
"What is it?" She asked.
"You can't go to prom with Logan.." I started but she cut me off with her expression.
"Josh stop. I'm going with him and you're going with movie girl" she yelled and marched away.
I grabbed her wrist and held onto it so that she wouldn't leave.
"You don't get it. Logan is taking you there as a bet and he's going to.."
"Logan isn't like that.. Just because you're like that doesn't mean every guy is, Josh. Leave me alone.. I'm going with Logan" she galloped back over to her friends and I was left with a burning feeling in my chest. Prom is in a couple of days and I can't let her get hurt.
