The six weeks leading up to graduation went past quickly. Rory and Paris were both so distracted by finals and interviews connected to their future that they barely had time to sit down and talk, which meant that here they are now, the night before graduation and neither of them actually knows what the other's plans are.

"Paris! The chinese food is here," Rory yells as she locks the door after paying for the food. Even after they moved to a better apartment, some of the habits from the old place hung around.

"I'm coming, I'm coming," Paris shouted from her bedroom. "You better not be trying to steal any of my general tso chicken," she said as she rounded the corner of the kitchen, only to see Rory looking sheepish with a fork in her hand.

"Would you like some of my kung pao chicken?" Rory asked innocently, as she divided the egg rolls between plates.

"Well seeing as you have had some of my chicken, I might as well have some of yours now." Paris replied. Rory at least had the good sense to look repentant as she gave Paris an extra egg roll.

"I can't believe we graduate tomorrow," Rory said, sitting down on the couch with her food and a glass of wine.

"Me either Gilmore. I think I'm finally getting rid of you."

"What are you doing after graduation, Paris? I have barely seen you recently to find out."

"Well first Doyle and I are taking a vacation, he is picking the destination, I told him to surprise me."

"Which means that you gave him almost exact instructions for two places and told him to book one?" Rory asked, watching Paris nod affirmatively.

"After that, well I have the summer free, because come fall I am going to Harvard Med school!"

"Oh My God Paris," Rory exclaimed, dropping her fork, and quickly pulling her still eating friend into an embrace.

"Breathe Gilmore, I need air."

"Sorry, I was just excited for you. I can't believe it. Harvard, it's your dream. And you got in even though you are having sex," Rory added, unable to resist poking fun at her best friend's reaction back at Chilton.

"Haha, very funny Gilmore. But yes I'm moving to Boston." Paris states, beginning to eat again.

"Boston, not Cambridge?" Rory asks.

"Yep, Doyle got a position at the Boston Globe so it makes more sense to be there, for now anyway."

"Wow, I'm speechless. I'm so excited for you guys. Do you want any help finding a place? I can ask my Dad for help to make sure you get a good area, he has been in Boston a while now."

"That would be really helpful, thanks. What about you Gilmore? I know you were uncertain about your plans after your breakdown last year."

"Hey!" Rory exclaims.

"What? It's the truth." Paris states with a shrug.

"Still, it's not nice to throw it at me." Rory says with a pout.

"That face doesn't work on me Gilmore, I'm not one of your guys."

"I don't have any guys," Rory said, defensively.

"Sure you don't," Paris said with an eye roll.

"Anyway. I'm moving too," Rory said, biting into an egg roll, purposely delaying her answer, as she knew it would annoy Paris.

"Where to?" Paris asked, the frustration obvious in her tone.

"Manhattan." Rory replied, she stopped to take a drink of her wine. "I got a job at Random House, as an Editorial Assistant."
