14. Yuletide Ball +

It was the night before the ball and I was jittery. I was so excited I haven't seen the boys in a day and we told each other not to see each other until we meet up in the entrance hall before we go to the Great Hall tomorrow night. I was getting ready for bed, chatting with Poppy about tomorrow, she still won't tell me who she's going with; but tomorrow morning she and I would be heading to the library for a few hours and slip into the kitchen for some food. I laid my head on my pillow and went to sleep.

When the sun came shining through the windows I rubbed my eyes and stretched. I sat up and remembered it's Christmas Eve, the day of the Yuletide Ball. I wrapped myself in my bathrobe and went into the bathroom to wash and dress. I put my uniform on so we could go to the library. I leave the bathroom and find Poppy. The two of us go to the library to do some work before tonight and to kill a few hours before we get ready for the ball. I kept checking my watch to see the time and I barely did any work. 12:00pm, 12:10pm, 12:30pm, 12:48pm, 1:00pm after about an hour I gave up on trying to do work. I just wasn't concentrating and it's taking too long so I conceded I told Poppy I was going to the dorm to get ready she nodded and we walked together back to the common room.

We stopped at the kitchen once again to get some lunch, since we didn't go to the feast. Once we got to the dorm I grabbed my undergarments and a towel and headed to the bathroom to shower. I scrubbed myself I didn't want to smell. I wanted my boys to be impressed. I rarely dress up so I needed to look my absolute best. After my shower I took my wand and waved it over me to remove any unwanted hairs. It was a handy spell Natty told me about a year ago and I've been using it quite often. I took the towel and wrapped myself in it and waved my wand to dry myself.

Then I put on my chemise and kickers and my corset. Then I went back to the dorm, then Poppy went to shower herself. I took out my dress from the wardrobe and I put on my hoop skirt and petticoats. Then the emerald green over skirt then I put on the bodice and lace and button it in the back. It was a mid length sleeve, off the shoulder statin dress. I loved it so much. I wave my wand to do my hair in a simple half up and down look. With little pearls stuck within. I had a simple pearl like necklace and earrings on.

Poppy rejoined me and was putting on her dress it was a beautiful gold yellow color. It wasn't my style but it was very much Poppy's. She didn't do much to her hair except curl it a bit.
