42. You Again

1 year later — June 1895

It's been a while now, I took to journaling in the last year, making notes and reading. I got in touch with professors Weasley and Black on my resume to start teaching. I still went in for a formal interview, although I received a letter saying I got the job to teach magical theory in September. This was just a formality and I'm so excited. Sebastian has also taken to journaling, all his notes about his parents and he's been corresponding with Anne to her take on it and anything she could remember. He's made a load of notes and he's even taken over one of the spare bedrooms to keep his things and office of sorts library even. Many books and many tomes. Paperwork all over. Some is just his work he has to do and others is research on his parents. I have no idea how it keeps it all straight. Ominis, however, loves his desk job at the ministry. Although he says that it's dull work he makes well enough that it keeps him going, he's made acquaintances and likes to talk about it, each night. Sebastian decided he loves being an Auror. That his uncles stories about the job were nothing like living it. He's mostly stationed in Hogsmeade so I do see him a lot he does pop home for lunch nearly every day.

Today however Sebby was stationed in London and since Omi is there I asked if we could meet in the Leaky Cauldron for lunch. They said yes and that I would meet them at exactly 1 in the afternoon. So now with it being an hour before, I decided to leave early and shop around Diagon Alley in the mean time. I was outside of Madame Malkins robes shops when I saw a plait of blonde hair inside the shop. I never thought I would see her again. Victoria Easton. I went inside. She immediately noticed me and actually smiled. It's been two years since I saw her.

"Aria" she said. "How are you" she asks.

"Great, how are you" I ask.

"Oh wonderful" she said motioning to her stomach. That's when I realized.

"Oh!?" I said surprised.

"Yes I'm pregnant" she said.

"Congratulations" I said.

"Thank you, it was unexpected really, my husband wasn't thrilled at first, but he came around to it" she tells me.

"Your husband?" I ask.

"Yes, I'm married to Marvolo, and his family were pressuring him to produce an heir, so here we are. But I'm excited nonetheless how or why. How about you?"

"Oh well then I guess that would make us sisters in law I'm married to Ominis and Sebastian." I said.

"Oh that's wonderful, any little ones yet?"

"No not yet" I say.

"Listen, Aria, I'm really sorry about anything that happened during our school year. I was young and naive. Marvolo was swayed and has turned a new leaf. I know he's done unspeakable things to not only Ominis but you as well, and the riff between Ominis and his family is probably fractured forever, but I wanted to apologize on behalf of them all. They're not all that bad once your used to it. But I understand why you all aren't in contact." She says to me.

"Thank you Victoria, I wish you all the best and your family." I said cordially.

"I'm glad Ominis has someone like you." She said.

"Please don't mention it to anyone I don't want any surprises or sympathy from them. We cut our ties and that's all I want" I ask.

"Of course" she said. Then looked at her watch.

"Oh I must be off I have an appointment at Mungo's in twenty minutes. It was nice to see you" she said.

"Good to see you too" I said then she smiled and walked out.
