62. Setting Roots +

It was time for Anna's birthday and Poppy and her family showed up, my parents were here as well and to my surprise Natty showed up with her man. I ran over to give her a hug. It's been years since I have seen her. Probably since our wedding. We had loads to catch up on. I sat down with them and we talked. We talked for hours. Who else showed up surprising us was Anne and William. I saw Sebastian run over to give her a hug. We did the usual birthday party cake and singing, playing. I just so excited for my friends. Natty told how she's moving back here, only she'll be in London, to be an Auror. Poppy is moving here permanently. She and Magnus are buying a house with land, in Brocburrow. They wanted to have a more stable home now with the boys getting older and Theseus going to school in a few years. And Anne, it's been a long time since we've seen her. She told me she's pregnant too I was so excited for her. I told her I was having twins myself and she was excited for us. Sebastian and Ominis and I were all talking to her. I know it was special for Sebastian to see his sister, and Ominis to talk to an old friend.

Over the last few weeks Poppy and I were now able to talk more often and see each other more. With her being so close now. She's got plenty of land for her beasts and pens for them. She still has the nab sack I gave her with the ones I rescued that I gave to her. She let me see Highwing again and it was great to see she was happy. I asked her if we could throw her a house warming party. She said yes and that's why we see each other so much. When I'm not teaching of course. Magnus got a new position within Gringotts, he no longer has to travel around as a curse breaker, now I believe he's more of a liaison  between the goblins and wizards.

So it was a weekend near the end of November that we were having the party. The guys and I brought Anna, Natty was here greeting us she was with Jamal, I found out was her boyfriend's name. He was a lovely guy. Anna went to play around with Newt, who was now three years old nearly four. Theseus who's seven years old now. He helps Poppy tend to her beasts. He doesn't have the same enthusiasm, but he knows he has to help out. Theseus is a smart boy and will do well when it's his time to go to Hogwarts.

The men were off talking outside with the children while Poppy and I with a few elderly neighbors of hers were inside the house making tea. I was watching them from the window, Sebastian was playing with the boys in the yard, Magnus and Ominis were standing there talking. Ominis was carrying Anna, who looked nervous. They offered some biscuits and scones with the tea, and we chatted. It was a lovely day with them I didn't want it to end I was having a lot of fun with her. It's just like Anna's birthday party a couple weeks ago. It was so much fun and with so many people who I don't see often. Eventually the men came inside with the children. Anna was holding tight to Ominis' hand and her stuffed bunny.

At the end of the day we said goodbye and we floo back to Feldcroft. Sebastian took Anna from Ominis up to her room and have some down time to read to her. I decided to shower before bed. However showing now 4 months pregnant with twins is harder. My bump has grown significantly more in just two weeks. I'm excited, this pregnancy is significantly better than my previous one, with Anna I was sick, uncomfortable all the time. I've always wanted lots of kids, before I didn't know it was possible, but now we'll be going from one child to three. It makes me wonder what they'll be like. What they'll look like, will they be more like me, or Seb or even Omi. Anna is starting to take after Seb more and more. She's getting to be a little mischievous but she's also funny, and she's really starting to look like him with the chocolate curls on her head and the freckles across her nose and cheeks. She's adorable and she's going to be so smart, Sebastian reading to her so much her speech and vocabulary is improving fast. Pretty soon she'll be able to read those books on her own. I'm so proud of her. Anna can finally tell us what she wants in small statements.
